Chapter 17

As the fog began to break, Wolfie's gaze fell on the man who had saved him when they first met.

'... I fought... to protect you...' Wolfie was determined in his heart.

"BBOOOMMM!" Strong white flames surrounded Wolfie's dog-shaped body.

The Dog God has risen!

Wolfie attacked the Yeti brutally, piercing his vitals with his razor-sharp fangs.

The white flames clashed with the purple aura, creating a hissing sound of burning objects.

Yeti is caught off guard by Wolfie's deadly attack. Over these thousands of years, the Yeti had never met an enemy commensurate with his strength.

He knew there was a chance he wouldn't win, so he shifted his focus to the man lying on the ground, Tom. His instincts told him that this human was important to the white dog.

The Yeti dodged Wolfie's next attack, then changed course, hurtling toward Tom. At that very instant, just before the Yeti reached Tom to tear her to pieces, a shrill, deafening roar came from behind her!!

The white dog let out a thunderous roar as it went into rage mode!!!

Tom, who was previously in the form of a dog, already had a big body, in an angry mode her body grew bigger with her white hairs that straightened with anger.

After turning into fury mode, Wolfie leapt into the air quickly, landed on the Yeti's back and then plunged his fangs into the Yeti's neck. Jet-black blood flowed like a fountain from the Yeti's neck which was torn apart by Wolfie's fangs. The Yeti didn't understand why he could be defeated by an ordinary dog like a white dog that had ripped his throat out. Finally the Yeti disappeared into a black mist and disappeared with the wind.

The white dog panted heavily as he stared at Tom with his blood-red eyes.

Wolfie used the last remaining of his strength to force himself back into human form.

He crawled to Tom's side, pulling Tom into his arms.

"Hey Uncle..." Wolfie mumbled.

"Get up..." He repeated again.

"Wake up Uncle... uhhhh" Tom said. Now his voice sounded sad imagining Tom who would never wake up again.

"Hey Uncle... I... I'm still... I'm still useful, right?" Wolfie stammered.

The young man could barely contain his consciousness. He gently kissed Tom's lips then lost consciousness.

~~~
Lying in Wolfie's arms, Tom's eyes slowly opened. He was speechless as he moved his fingers to the lips that Wolfie was kissing.
For some reason that Tom couldn't decipher, Tom felt pain in her heart.
He had already woken up when Wolfie had called him earlier. The young man's sad words echoed in his ears as he hugged Tom tightly.
Even though Tom was in a weak state, she broke free from Wolfie's embrace and sat down to examine the wounds on Wolfie's body.
"Uhhgg.. It hurts..." The youth mumbled and furrowed his brow subconsciously. Tears flowed silently down Wolfie's cheeks.
"Don't go... Uncle, don't leave me..." Wolfie muttered. Suddenly, as if he was having a bad dream, the young man began to stir restlessly in his sleep.
"Uncle?!" His eyes suddenly widened and his body sat up to look for Tom's whereabouts.
Tom patted Wolfie's back gently to calm him down, "I'm here."
Wolfie turned to Tom, relieved that Tom was still by his side. Wolfie then tightly gripped Tom's hand then he asked frantically, "Do you feel something uncomfortable anywhere? Are you hurt??"
"No...no..." Tom said softly and warmly to calm the panicking Wolfie, "I'm fine."
"Uncle... I..." Wolfie said doubtfully.
Tom hugged the boy, buried her head under Wolfie's neck, "It's okay now... it's over..."
Unknowingly, while the two were embracing, the same sight was seen on a crystal ball somewhere within the twelve palaces.
There were three men sitting around the crystal ball in the darkness.
The man in the middle of raising his wine glass, stretched out his very long tongue as he licked the bright red wine from his glass.
"Did you see..." He commented emotionlessly.
"Hmn, really interesting..." The man on the left commented then he smirked haughtily.
She has a pair of beautiful emerald green eyes.
The man sitting on the right remained silent.
"That white dog... Who knows what punishment he will get after this." The pair of green eyes gleamed curiously.
Wolfie felt a jolt in his heart, he quickly let go of Tom and looked around him.
Just a moment ago, Wolfie felt someone was watching them... 'This isn't good.'
"What is it?" Tom asked because she sensed the youth's uneasiness.
"No, it's fine. Maybe I'm just overreacting." Wolfie smiled back at Tom.
Suddenly, Wolfie's cheeks became warm as Tom's hand lightly touched the cheek that was injured by the Yeti's claw.
"Does this still hurt?" Tom said noticing the cut on Wolfie's cheek.
Under the moonlight, Tom showed a tenderness that she rarely showed to anyone.
Wolfie felt his breath hitch as he hesitantly pressed his lips to the side of Tom's mouth quickly.
The man was taken aback for a moment, then lowered his head, not showing any more expression to Woflie.
Maybe if it was someone else, they would feel the rejection given by Tom with his attitude that seemed to ignore them. But unlike Wolfie, he reacted with joy.
'He didn't push me!!! He didn't reject it at all!!' Wolfie rejoiced in his heart.
"If you don't like it, you have to tell me . . . I'll stop." said Wolfie softly.
"Hah??" When Tom's surprised reaction finally surfaced, her lips filled with Wolfie's. Wolfie kissed him fiercely, not giving Tom the slightest chance to dodge and escape.
Their bodies touched each other as Wolfie used his tongue nimbly to lick every spot in Tom's mouth. Saliva ran down the corners of their lips as their tongues tangled together. Tom felt like she was possessed, she never expected that she didn't hate this feeling.
Their lips parted and Tom was panting with her eyes half-open.
Wolfie traced Tom's neck with his lips, bit her collarbone, then stopped at the man's chest.
