Chapter 50

Tom didn't realize that there was a milky white light that was slowly getting stronger from within her body. He tightly hugged the black peacock in his arms then slowly his fragile emotions began to take over him.

'I understand you. All your pain, I can understand.' Tom said in her heart to the lifeless figure of Alicia.

"That's why, Alicia, don't lie to ourselves anymore." Tom continued.

The light of fire then reappeared from the ashes. Tom closed her eyes but she still hugged the peacock in her arms. Even as the smoldering flames had surrounded them, Tom didn't show the slightest sign of fear.

The white light then formed a halo around Tom's body and then the fire wrapped Tom and Alicia in the circle of fire. Both Tom and Alicia were almost buried under the blazing fire as the light flashed stronger and brighter until the fire blinded the surrounding area with it.
