Samuel POV
"Hmph..."
"I'm sorry, Samuel! I will pay for our food as an apology." Catherine said
I hate her!
A few minutes ago, Catherine who is Stella's friend started teasing me after I told them that I dislike carrots.
"So what...You're thinking that you're better than me..."
"No, Samuel! I didn't mean it like that! I just wanted to joke with you! I swear!" Catherine said
I'll be honest...I dislike her.
She gives off the same vibes that they have...
You know...Extremely friendly with me but they always badmouth me behind my back...
But...The difference between them it seems is that she is very upfront about what she thinks of me...
I mean I still dislike her...It is just that I just dislike them much more than her.
After that, I let it slide but I'm still angry...
We then went window shopping and somehow ended up in a bookstore.
"Do you want to buy something, Stella?" I asked
"Not really...I haven't finished reading the books that I have bought so maybe next time. I'm just looking for books."
"Really...Well then, do you want me to come along when you buy books at the bookstore next time?"
"I'd love to! We can hang out just like today! We can try visiting other places! I'm sure that all three of us will have lots of fun!"
"Yeah...All three of us will have lots of fun..."
Never planned for Catherine to be there with us but well... whatever I guess...
"I'm glad that you guys are preparing for our next outing but it is also important that we enjoy this one first." Catherine said jokingly while her hands are on our shoulders
"I get it...Well then, let's look around." I said while taking her hand out of my shoulder.
◇◇◇
"The synopsis makes the book look promising. Maybe, I'll buy this after I finish reading those books at our home. What about you, Samuel? Didn't you read books about birds?"
"Huh...Oh yeah...I haven't finished reading it yet...I guess I'll just buy another one next time we visit a bookstore again."
It's been a few minutes since we started looking at the books.
By the way, where's Catherine?
"Hey guys! I found this romance book. It seems interesting..."
"Oh yeah...But isn't this a bit old?" Stella asked
"Old?! It's not old... Just because it finished a year ago... Besides, even if its old, it is still interesting. Right, Samuel?"
"Huh...Oh yeah..."
I didn't listen to what they are talking about...I am just looking at the book.
I remembered that book..."My Maid In Love"
It was a book that one of my friends brought to us back then. He told us that her sister and friends started talking about this book. He apparently told us to start reading this book if we want to start talking to other girls.
I didn't had any interest in girls back then much less dating them but it seems that my friends became interested so I joined in and bought a book on my way back.
Reading it...is embarrasing.
It is about a maid who got hired by a noble. He just got divorced after learning that her wife cheated. After that, she comforted him and little by little, they fell in love with each other. Although there are hurdles on their love, they got past it and lived happily ever after.
Crap...I can still remember the cheesy lines like...
"We shouldn't do this...What would my colleagues think...Your parents... Everyone..."
"I don't care what anyone thinks of us... You're the only one I need in my entire life... This feeling in my heart is not a mistake...I won't regret this love that I feel... I love you."
Thankfully, no one knew that I read that book. It will haunt me forever if a single person knew I read it.
Let's just forget that book...
After that, Catherine told us that she will buy it on our next outing because she hasn't finished the books on her home.
We then continue window shopping and ended up in a clothing store.
Apparently, Stella didn't believe that she wouldn't look great with the dress Catherine pointed. They disagreed until I told Stella to just wear it and dragged her to the clothing store.
I mean...I agree with Catherine...She would look great on it...She just needs to see it... And its perfect time to pick clothes for social gatherings...
After she tried the dress on, Stella keep telling us that it does not suit her.
Are you serious... It suits you... I mean Catherine and I thought so...
Thankfully, after some time we eventually comvinced her.
"I'm glad that you finally believed us. Now then, I'll tell the lady that we'll take this clothes and deliver it to our house."
"What?! But these clothes are expensive!"
"I already told you.Just think of it as shopping for your clothes. After all, we haven't bought you one for social gatherings."
You shouldn't worry about it...
After I convinced her, I got the dress so that I can buy it since I have money on hand and to tell the lady about our address to deliver it there.
After it was finished, I was about to go back to tell them that I bought it when--
"Dont worry about it, Stella! Samuel is kind so I'm sure he won't mind!"
What...
"What did you say about me?"
What she said about me... She's just like them...
