"Just go to your room and get ready" Kelen said and walked away quietly as he found himself getting angry at Ida without turning back. Kiarah sighed and walked to her father's room.

She was determined to not let this happen no matter what. She stood in front of his door and knocked it thrice. "Come in" She heard his dad saying before she pushed the door slightly and found him sitting on the bed and reading some book.

"Dad" she called out as her father raised his head from the book and closed it as a smile made its way on his face as he looked at his daughter.

"Come" Nathaniel Orion, her dad patted the place beside him on the bed. She shut the door behind her quietly and walked to him as he placed the book on the nightstand and rested his hands in his lap as she settled beside him.

"What do you want to talk about?" Nathaniel asked without letting her speak. He knows she comes to him and keeps quiet whenever she wants to talk about something seriously.

"Dad it's about Alden" she said as she closed her eyes, sighing. "What about him?" Nathaniel asked, looking at her expressions.

"Why can't he take the throne? He deserves it dad. He did a lot for his empire and he is the correct person for ruling out empire" Kiarah said, playing with her fingers while her dad kept quiet for a moment and said "even Matthew did a lot for our empire Kiarah."

She shook her head in disbelief as her dad said that. "But Alden deserves it more," Kiarah said again. "You think I don't want my son to take the throne? Even I wished it along with your mom Kiarah" Nathaniel said softly, not wanting to raise his voice on her.

"I didn't mean that dad, but then why don't you do something?" Kiarah pleaded, her voice in a slow whisper. "I would do it if something is in my hands. He lost his task of what he had to do. Dad already kept the condition in front of Alden and if he would have completed his mission perfectly, he would be in Matthew's place this afternoon" her dad said as he kept his hand on her.

"Dad but you are his elder son and I'm sure he'll hear you if you say calmly and ask him to give a chance to Alden," Kiarah requested as tears rolled down her cheeks.

He wiped her tears softly and said "he had a chance to prove himself and he was well aware of that. He knew that he would get the throne if he won the mission and he even agreed to the challenge. I'm really helpless or I would have done something, " Kiarah's dad said as he caressed her cheek with his thumb trying to comfort her.

"Dad there must be a way" Kiarah said, sighing as he shook his head in no. "End of the discussion Kiarah. Go and get ready please Orelse your grandpa will be angry if anything goes wrong"  Nathaniel said silencing her.

She closed her eyes before wiping her tears and walked away quietly. Her dad shook his head and sighed as he stared at the picture opposite to him, his wife along with Kiarah and Alden.

They all looked happy and sad with smiles on their faces. How much he wished to bring those days back but he knows that's impossible, just like changing his dad's mind about Matthew's throne ceremony.

He stood up from his place and grabbed his suit to get ready for the ceremony not wanting to anger his dad anymore. He was probably disappointed with Alden for failing in the mission and he didn't want anything to go wrong again.

Kiara knows there is only one way left for her. She was sure she couldn't talk to Matthew or his dad about this. If there are anyone too elated about this ceremony, there are only two of them and it's just a waste to talk to them.

Her grandfather. He is her only hope. Even though she knows there is just one percent chance that he would hear her because his pride and ego are too big than his love for her.

And he never listens much to the women in his house but he doesn't say anything to her because Alden was so protective of her and would never let anyone say anything to her.
