I'm an orphan

"Seriously, what is wrong with you?"

Luca sat Nova down on the coffee table of her suite. Her cat had been meowing and clawing at her aggressively, telling Luca to listen. But alas, from other people's perspectives, all they could see was an aggressive cat about to go out of control.

It was a miracle they reached their hotel room without a staff approaching Luca.

"Can you please make things clear?" Luca huffed, hands on her hips, standing near the couch. "Why are you suddenly acting up?"

"I already told you!"

"Yeah, you told me they're criminals —"

"They're psychos!" Nova corrected in distress. "I went there and saw a freaking dead man!"

Luca let out a dry laugh as she crossed her arms under her chest. "Seriously? Did you see a dead man? With your own two eyes? In their room?"

"Yes! Don't you believe me?!"

"Nova, I —" Luca halted, pinching the bridge of her nose. When she let out a sharp breath, she sat down in front of Nova. "I want to believe you, Nova. But, that's crazy."
