The Devil Beside Me

Adam watched Lizz and Mako work around the villa, cleaning every corner as if they planned to make this place germ free. He leaned back against the couch, folding his arms under his chest while he observed for another minute.

"What's up?" Adam snapped his eyes as he glanced at the cat idling on the couch beside him. "Why are you suddenly watching those two obsessed over the cleanliness in here?"

He hummed, peeling his eyes away from Nova to Lizz and Mako. Usually, those two were just idling and bickering like cats and dogs. But now, the two were actually working together and in PEACE. There was only one thing that could shut Lizz and Mako, and that was every time Luca was with Xander.

They were acting more anxious than the husband. Actually, instead of anxiety, the two were simply distracting themselves. They detested the thought of knowing what Luca was up to, but at the same time, could only chew their handkerchiefs in jealousy.

Helping her on the side
