Chapter 33 Seena

inside a stone building with a broken side. Three women are standing inside. Seena, Lilly, and Miya.

"Can we just talk about this and..."

Before Lilly could finish her sentence, Seena readied her rapier, got into her stance, and replied with a simple "No."

"Fine. We will do it the hard way then. " Lilly said, as her coat transformed into a white paper-like material that wrapped around her arms.

The white paper then folded itself into four metal-like snake heads, attached to chains on both her arms.

Lilly raised her right arm, which caused the two snake heads attached to her right arm to rise as well, although very unnaturally.

Lilly soon raised her left arm, which caused the two snake heads attached to her left arm to rise in a weird floaty manner.

With a mere flick of the wrist, all four of the snake heads simultaneously headed towards Seena with deadly speed and precision.

Seena dodged by hiding and ducking behind a ruined wall. The snake heads smashed themselves to the ground, where Seena stood a moment ago.

After making contact with the ground, the four snake heads returned to Lilly's side.

Seena inspected the ground where the snake heads struck. With the speed that the snake heads had, They should have made a crater at the place they hit, but they only managed to leave a small crack on the floor.

"Hmm, interesting." Seena said to herself as she left her cover.

She stood in the middle of the room with no cover to hide behind. She readied her weapon again and placed her foot firmly on the ground.

Seeing Seena's moves, Lilly gestured to Miya to come to her.

Lilly knelt down for a moment, and whispered to Miya about something.

"Guess she's telling her to go away." Seena thought to herself.

As if to confirm Seena's thoughts, Miya turned tail and ran out the door.

"Thought so, but if she told her to ask for help." It could cause some issues. Seena said inwardly.

But, they can't really kill me since they still want their core. As long as none of us talks, we have the advantage. " Seena said to herself.

Lilly, seeing as Seena was just standing there, took the opportunity and attacked again.

Instead, this time, she didn't attack all at once. She attacked with a delay on each head, causing them to approach Seena one by one.

The first one reached Seena in less than a couple of seconds. Seena side stepped and slashed at the metal snake head.

The place where the strike landed made a solid cut on the metal snake head. The cut was made like running a sharp blade across a piece of paper.

The cut rapidly mended itself as the second metal snake head approached Seena.

This time, Seena ducked underneath the metal snake head and sliced the side of the chain that it was attached to.

The slice caused the same effect as the last one. The cut was easily made, like running a blade through a piece of paper before mending itself together.

Before Seena could stand up, the third one approached her. Seena lowered herself even more before jumping into the air.

While in the air, Seena swiftly kicked the third snake's head to the side with ease.

Seena landed before the fourth could reach her.

"Hmph!" Seena snorted before standing upright and extending her right hand in front of her.

The fourth snake head landed cleanly on Seena's right palm. The force of the impact only caused Seena's right arm to shake just a little bit.

Seena grasped the snake head in her hand as she pulled it closer to her face and said to Lilly. "Their looks are quite deceptive, aren't they?"

She let out a smile before throwing the metal snake head to the side like a toy.

The snake's head smacked into a flimsy looking wall. The impact made a little 'thump' sound as the snake's head hit it and landed on the ground, without making that much of a dent.

Lilly then retracted all of the snake heads to her side, without muttering a single word. only watching Seena intently.

"Hehe, clever girl." Seena praised Lilly inwardly.

Seena then thought to herself.

"That's an interesting way to use that kind of weapon with those characteristics."

Although they look like it, those metal snake heads aren't really made out of metal. They are more like papers. "

"Their weight and toughness are the same as paper, but the fact that they can mend themselves is an issue, since I can't really destroy them."

"Their speeds are quite scary, but the fact that they don't have that much weight means that they won't have as much momentum in them."

Lilly then attacked Seena with only one head, but this one had a much higher speed.

Seena dodged the head gracefully, as she continued to think to herself.

"Even though they don't have weight in them, they can still be deadly if they are used like whips."

"But the fact is that I now know your tricks."

Seena let out a smile as she charged Lilly with deadly speed.

"Means, I don't have to worry about that much about attacking." Seena said as she swung her rapier towards Lilly's neck.

Lilly took a step back as one of the snake heads blocked Seena's rapier while the rest attacked her.

Seena retreated after deflecting the other snake heads. Seena moved a good distance away from Lilly.

"A predictable mid-range fighter with solid close-quarters defense."

"My guess is, you're not quite used to fighting alone, aren't you?"

Lilly remained silent as she sent all four of her snake heads to the side, behind some walls.

Come on, work with me here. You said you wanted to talk earlier, did you not? "

"An attack from the sides, huh?" Seena whispered to herself.

Just as she predicted, an attack came from both sides. Seena closed her eyes and concentrated.

"One," Seena said, as she dodged the first snake head by jumping forward.

"Two." Seena counted, as she slid to the side, dodging the second snake head.

"Three." Seena said, as she spun in the air, dodging the third one with grace.

"Four." Seena called out, as she took three quick steps backwards.

Seena slowly opened her eyes, gracefully and elegantly avoiding all four snake heads.

Suddenly, a fifth snake head emerged from the sidelines.

"Five?!" Seena screamed inwardly, as the fifth snake head approached her with intimidating speed.

Seena dodged the fifth snake head by parrying it, which lacked the grace she had earlier.

Seena took a deep breath as she took a glance in Lilly's direction.

"Where did that extra snake head come from?" She asked herself.

Seena then began counting the chains attached to Lilly's arms.

"One, two, three, four, five." Seena then realized where the fifth snake head came from, but she then proceeded to count the rest of the chains.

"Six! Seven?" Seena screamed inwardly, as a sixth and a seventh snake head emerged from behind a half-destroyed wall on her right.

The two snake heads split up and approached Seena on both sides.

Seena swiped the left one with her rapier, causing it to change trajectory with ease.

Seena extended her right hand outward to meet the snake head attacking from her right.

"Hmph, that was close." Seena thought to herself as the last snake head closed in on her right hand.

Contrary to what Seena thought, the snake's head didn't stop when reaching her right hand.

Instead, it smashed itself into her palm and even continued to push. Before Seena could react, she was sent flying as her right shoulder got dislocated.

After crashing onto the ground, Seena quickly raised herself as she held her limp right arm.

"That was... heavy." Seena said as sweat poured down her face.

"What was that?" Seena asked herself.

"Calm down, me, there should be a trick here, like everything else." Seena said to herself, as she inspected everything around her.

After searching for a while, Seena's eyes landed on the snake head that hit her.

Inside the snake head's mouth, a pile of stones could barely be seen.

"So that's the trick, huh?" Seena said to herself as she stood up properly.

"You make up for the fact that your attacks lack weight by stacking your snake heads with rocks." Seena thought.

"Not bad. A straightforward solution to a complex issueThanks to our surroundings, you don't lack the materials to fix your issue. Seena praised Lilly inwardly as she glanced at her surroundings.

A bunch of ruined walls, plentiful destroyed stone tiles, and a massive destroyed side of the building. All of this means that rubble and scattered rocks are plentiful.

Guess what, I can't mess around. Seena said to herself as she gritted her teeth while fixing her dislocated shoulder by pushing it with her left arm.

"Gurh! Aah... "

She moved her right arm for a bit before entering her stance with eyes full of concentration.
