After finishing up her plate, Lilly asked the girls. "Can you girls meet me after I clean up here?"
Amber, Rose, and Miya gave her a nod while the rest left the room, causing a commotion like usual. The girls decided to help Lilly clean up since they had nothing to do while waiting for Lilly.
Once they were done cleaning up, Lilly said to the girls. "Follow me."
She then walked away before the girls could ask any questions. They continued to walk down the massive halls.
They eventually stopped and went in a door. The other side of the door is an expansive room filled with various minor damages. There is another door to the side while the wall by the door they entered are filled with tables.
Lilly took a seat from one of the tables and sat down on it. The way she sat on it had both elegance and boldness.
Amber walked to the front and asked. "Why are we here, Miss Lilly?"
Lilly pushed out her arm, raised a finger, and swayed it left and right as she spoke. "No Lady or Miss. It's just Lilly."
Moving back a bit, Amber replied. "Okay. Why are we here, Lilly?"
Lilly clapped her hands, smiled, and said in the cheerful tone. "I'm glad you asked."
"Today, I'm going to train you." Lilly continued.
Upon hearing this, the girls all had different reactions. Rose looks displeased, Amber looked intruiged, and Miya just straight up looks confused.
Clapping her hands again, Lilly said. "Alright, grab a chair, place it in the middle and listen."
The girls did as she told while wearing their various expressions. They placed it in the middle of the room and sat down.
Lilly grabbed her own chair and sat on it while saying. "Okay, before we start your training, do any of you have questions?"
Rose, who still looks very upset, immediately replied with. "Please tell me, this isn't gonna be like school?"
Lilly scratched her cheek and responded. "Well, not entirely. Since you girls are now my responsibility, it would hurt me to lose one of you because I didn't do anything to help."
The girls looked shock at Lilly's genuinely caring response.
Recovering from the surprise, Amber asked. "What exactly are you going to help us with?"
Lilly sat up straight and replied. "Anything I can help with."
Rose chimed in and said. "Don't need help. I'm a fully capable adult."
Lilly turned to her, smiled before saying. "Well, Hela has something to say about that."
"Miss Hela? What does she have to do with this?" Rose asked.
"I asked her about what you did in the battle." Lilly answered.
Rose's expression darkened, almost as though she saw her worst fear. Miya, Amber, and even Lilly seemed genuinely surprised since they didn't think it was that bad.
Lilly clapped her hands again, gaining everyone's attention. She said. "Well, the fighting lessons goes for later."
"Firstly, we'll start with just general knowledge." Lilly added.
Rose breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Lilly's statement. Miya looked at her, but said nothing in the end.
"I asked Goldie for his opinion, bleugh...!" Lilly looked very disgusted upon saying her statement.
"...About what I should teach." Lilly continued.
She looked at Rose and Amber and said. "To relay Goldie's evaluation..."
"Rose, you seemed like the type to lack common knowledge due to you being a peacekeeper or something."
Rose looked surprised, but she didn't refuse the statement.
Lilly continued with Amber, and said. "Amber, you have a lot of book knowledge, but you lack on the physical aspect of things. So to say, you are clumsy."
Amber nodded.
Lilly turned to Miya and said. "And lastly, Miya. He said you are from a far away place, so you lack knowledge of the world around you."
"Ah..." Miya looked confused about her evaluation especially the 'from a far away place' part.
Lilly clapped her hands again and said. "Alright, I'll be teaching you separately, but during the same time."
Lilly then went over to Rose and talked to her about something before leaving her to think. She did the same for Amber and once it was over, it was Miya's turn.
"Hmm..." Lilly only stared at Miya while standing in front of her.
"Can you wait for a moment, Miya?" Lilly asked.
And before Miya could reply, Lilly has already turned around and left the room.
Miya looked confused as to why she got left hanging, but she heard a vague shout from Lilly on the other side of the door.
"Sister Morgan! Can I borrow one of your maps?!" Lilly shouted.
Morgan shouted a moment later. "Sure! You know where to find it!"
A couple of minutes later, Lilly entered the room with a piece of paper in her hand.
She placed the paper in front of Miya and opened it.
Lilly then began to explain.
"This is the world map. It is created by Sister Morgan for just knowing general location, so don't expect every little detail to be here."
"As you can see, the world is divide into four major parts. Quadrants, if you will."
"It looks like a four-petaled flower with the Green Plains, Viridis, serving as middle part that connects the petals, the quadrants."
"The quadrants are separated by mountain ranges, so if you want to go to the other quadrants, you'll either have to go through Viridis or those sketchy passes in the mountains."
"The four quadrants are, the northern or the winter quadrant, the eastern or the spring quadrant, the southern or the summer quadrant, and lastly, the western or the autumm quadrant."
"They are further separated into two halves each."
"The north has, the calm, snowy slopes that belong to Olympia, and the three year-long winter deathland of Niflland."
"The east has, the Jade region and the Sun region sharing it."
"The south has, the lush forest of Vita that's being separated by that old monster's remains from the hot desert of Mortem. That's where we are now."
"Lastly, the west. The west actually had been separated into four parts once, but due to the lost of Avalon and the Delians. These two superpowers that once held their own share of the western quadrant lost control of their lands."
"Titan, the only remaining superpower in the west, took the opportunity the other two left and claimed their lands."
"So, Titan now holds most of the western quadrant. With the only remaining city not affliated with them in the area being The Great Tree Academy." Lilly explained.
Lilly looked at Miya and asked. "Did you get all that or do you want me to repeat?"
Miya shook her head and asked. "I got it. Actually, I want to ask about these 'superpowers' everyone mentions."
"Ah, okay then. I'll explain them to you." Lilly replied while giving a smile.
"There were once nine superpowers, but due to recent events, the count has been knocked down to six."
"The remaining are, Titan, The Sun region, The Jade region, Olympia, The Sols, and lastly, the Crescent familia."
"The ones that were lost are, Avalon, Delian, and The Great Tree Academy."
"Avalon and Delian were completely destroyed, but the The Great Tree Academy only lost it's title because of losing their fighting force."
"The only reason Titan can't attack The Great Tree Academy is because of their geological location."
Lilly then looked at Miya with a smile, waiting if she has any other questions.
Miya opened her mouth and asked. "But, what about Viridis?"
Lilly scratched the back of her head and said. "Well, since they said 'we value our citizens lives', Viridis claimed neutrality, so they don't really clash with the superpowers."
"But, if you see through the hypocrisy in their actions. You'll know that the reason they did that was because they are surrounded by enemies on all front."
Lilly then asked. "Are you satisfied with that?"
Miya nodded while Lilly then went over to the others to speak with them as Miya digested the information.
After talking with the other two, Lilly got back to Miya, and asked. "Do you have another question you need answering?"
Miya nodded, and asked. "Actually, I want to know more about those monsters you guys hunt?"
"That's a good question." Lilly praised as she then began explaining.
"The monsters we hunt are usually refered to as Beasts. Not to be confused with the Beastfolk."
"They are separated into tiers. Starting from the lowest. F, E, D, C, B, A, and S."
"F-tiers are mostly harmless, and can be easily taken down by someone that has a basic knowledge on how to handle them. Think more of like a chicken, a duck, or a street cat."
"E-tiers are beings that has the power to incapacitate a group of amatuers. Like a raging bull and a gliding tiger."
"D-tiers are powerful enough to survive an attack from at least five people. A deep-earth armadillo is a good example."
"C-tiers are what you girls hunted. Those big lizard like animals. They need at least a good group of people to take down."
"B-tiers are beasts that need at least an army to take down. Like the stampede we met a while back since tiers aren't just for single individuals. Instead, it's for the collective threat they pose."
"A-tiers are a bit of a step up. They usually need a couple of armies to take down. Like that dragon thing Goldie and the others took down."
"And finally, S-tiers. Anything that is classified as S-tier can also be called living calamities. Due to their power, they're quite rare, but that doesn't mean they won't appear."
"All S-tier monsters need at least an action from one of the superpowers to take down. If you need an example, look no further than Loki... and perhaps Goldie even, since he too fits the qualifications."
"Loki?" Miya asked.
"Yes, Loki's an S-tier." Lilly replied.
"Then, aren't you worried?" Miya asked with a worrysome face.
"Nah, there's no need. S-tiers aren't just classified for brute strength, they can also fit in this qualifications if they are smart." Lilly said, waving her hands carelessly.
"So, just being smart is enough to get you to S-tier?" Miya then asked again.
"No, not really. You still need to have a bit of strength to get in there."
"Hmm, put it this way. What seems more dangerous, a being that can destroy a mountain, but only runs on it's sense of instinct, or a being half the power, but is able to think on a level of a human."
Meanwhile, in the kitchen. V walked along the side of the table while eating a sandwhich in his hand.
After passing through a couple of chairs, V noticed a watchful eye looking at him from the side.
V turned and looked at the opposite side of the table. He saw Loki on the table, watching him with it's two purple eyes.
"What you looking at, stupid lizard?" V asked.
After waiting for a second and receiving no acknowledgement from Loki, V sat down on a chair directly across Loki.
V took another bite on his sandwhich as he watched Loki with an unblinking glare. Like how Loki is doing now.
A couple of seconds passed like this, until suddenly, the area on Loki's head directly next to it's eyes began to move.
After another second, Six new sets of eyes appeared on it's head, and all of them looked at V.
"Wait! That's cheating!" V screamed.
As V said that, he blinked.
And, at that moment Loki pounced on the sandwhich he held, swallowing it up in one motion with V's hand as a freebie.
Feeling Loki's weight on his hand, V shouted. "Let me go, you stupid lizard!" While trashing about, trying to get Loki to let go of his hand.
Back with Lilly and the others, Miya replied. "Uh, I think the second one is more dangerous."
