The book Great and Wrecked is a two way meaning. The book speaks of a certain University in the contemporary society of Africa precisely East Africa which is known for being the best University in the country its output to the country is great. It has produced many researchers in the field of agriculture being an agricultural institution, graduates from this University are concidered far much better than from other Universities due to its greatness known country wide hence the title GREAT ironically the top leaders in the University have spearheaded corruption and hypocrisy taking advantage of the big revenue the University gets from the government for its greatness filling up their own stomachs this has made the University unable to move forward. Lecturers get pay cuts and sometimes go for months without payments whenever they strike there is always a stalemate which leads to failure of their struggle. The infrastructure is no longer good, way paths damaged, street lights no longer working, toilet and latrines bad drainage system. The University is WRECKED. It has a seventy million modern constructed gate that leads to a forty million incomplete modern library. THE GREAT AND WRECKED
