The Physicians Said We Can Do It

Ezekiel daydreamed. His mind was busy thinking about what he overheard between Harriet and Miriam earlier that day. So... Harriet was pregnant? Was that true?

Seeing the unusual Ezekiel, Cecilia gave him a confused look. Normally Ezekiel's world would become Cecilia once they met. Usually, no matter how busy and difficult Ezekiel's problem was, he would forget about it as soon as Cecilia appeared. It was almost like he would be throwing everything away and leaving only Cecilia.

"Is there a problem, Zeke?" asked Cecilia.

Ezekiel turned to Cecilia with a raised eyebrow, then just smiled blandly.

"No. Nothing," replied the young man.

Cecilia furrowed her brows, confused at the way Ezekiel had responded.

"Does Zeke not believe me? Is this a confidential state matter?" Cecilia asked in a low, worried voice.

Ezekiel blinked and chuckled.

"No, Ceci. It's a matter of…" Ezekiel sighed. "It's about Harriet Goldlane."
