“Do you know why Sorcery is forbidden to use in this world, son?” asked Axias.

Ezekiel was packing. He only prepared some of his ordinary clothes and weapons, as well as a small amount of money. The young man turned to his father. "Why?"

“Because unlike ordinary magic spells or potions from alchemy, Sorcery changes personalities and corrupts its victims. People who were good, humble and loyal, will become so cunning, a narcisist and a traitor. Sorcery brings out the greatest desire within us and bends it into something vile,” explained Axias.

Ezekiel was silent. His greatest wish was to live happily with his true love, Harriet, but Cecilia's Sorcery forced him to hate her.

Because of that, he made a nonsensical excuse that justified his decision to cheat on Cecilia and approach Harriet, belittling her and making bad assumptions about her.
