The Sun God (1)

The boy didn't understand why, but somehow he believed in the man. He kept walking following this stranger because he said he could show him the Daffodil Flower.

Until finally they came to a wide plain covered with frozen grass… but Alban couldn't find a single daffodil growing, no matter how far he walked.

"Daffodils grow in early spring," said the man, who was now following behind him. "It's still mid to late winter."

Alban furrowed his brows. Then why did his village elders tell him to leave in the middle of a storm to carry out a task that was doomed to failure?

Were they trying to kill him?

Suddenly, the man took out something that shone so brightly from under his robes.

The light was so blinding that it forced Alban to narrow his eyes. But when the man showed it to Alban, Alban was so stunned that he widened his eyes, no longer afraid of the blinding light of the object.
