Good Kids

"We have two younger sisters from the same orphanage in our house. They can look after the Grandpa while we work."

Harriet who heard it immediately felt a little uncomfortable. It seemed that the living conditions of these children were very difficult. But why would they still want to help the old man? She then asked them if they would be bothered by taking care of the old man.

Then, the two explained that they wouldn't be in too much trouble.

"We receive a monthly financial allowance from the Northern Government until we were eighteen years old. Old Duke Almandine made sure that none of the orphans go hungry, so we still have some savings from that money."

Harriet knew there was government-issued financial support to help the children… but she was sure it wasn't much. "If you guys need help, you can just ask us for help, okay? Why are you so adamant about helping this old man…"
