Unrequited

In the silence, so many things went through Ezekiel's head. However, he was somewhat surprised.

For the past three days, none of the negative thoughts had hurt him too badly. It felt as though Sorcery's side effects were no longer bothering him too much. He could still feel it a little, but not as bad as usual.

Even when he thought about Harriet, his chest no longer felt that tight…

Everything was like telling him that maybe Ezra was the one who made all this happen. His head became noticeably much lighter and his vision became much brighter. No voices were disturbing his head… and his body even healed quickly after being battered that night.

He wanted to talk and ask Ezra about the change. Was she the one who removed all the Sorcery side effects that were tormenting him? But…

Suddenly, Ezekiel heard the sound of a food trolley approaching. He turned his head and Ezra's personal maid appeared pushing a food trolley. The woman bowed to him.
