They Underestimated Us

When Old Duke turned his eyes to the source of the weird sound, a giant black portal was forming up the fort. From inside, a long blonde-haired man walked out, followed by the Crown Prince of Hyacinth.

Old Duke frowned. "You're back?"

Liam just nodded. But when the Old Duke turned back to the portal, he didn't see the mother of his great-grandchildren. "Where's your wife?"

"She refused to go with me. The shore still needed protection," Liam said.

Rayleigh didn't say anything more. If this crazy-in-love grandson of his left his wife alone there, then it must be safe enough to do so.

"She brought my spell with her. And after I finish another spell, I'll give more to all of you, too," Heinrich smiled warmly. Then, he turned back to his portal.

"I must prepare my army and bring them where they need to be. I trust Almandine will be alright without me," he nodded to them. "My eyes are everywhere. I'll come immediately if I see something urgent."
