The Fall

"Are we... enough?"

Harriet felt her whole body burn with pain. It felt like her soul was being sucked out and drenched in acid. But she kept her consciousness.

Her breath started to hitch when she suddenly heard a loud screech from the outside.

KIEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

She turned to the window, seeing another batch of wyvern army come to attack. And it was much... much bigger in size than before.

"Those... monsters..."

Orcenal narrowed his eyes. Even if Harriet faced a harrowing experience of sacrificing herself... she was still aware of her surroundings.

"Harriet, you must focus," Orcenal said.

Harriet turned back to her father and ignored the pain. She stood back up and walked toward the corridor balcony. She turned back to Orcenal, who looked at her in disbelief.

"Father, Almandine is the home I've always wanted. I will keep the connection, so we can still keep sending our soul energy to them," Harriet said.

"But this one needs to be stopped, too," Harriet continued.
