I stared at him for a second waiting for him to explain himself to me. Heat? What was that and why come he didn't tell me about it before? He started to place soft kisses on my neck and I pushed against his chest. He growled and pulled me up against his body roughly. I knew that he wanted me just as badly as I wanted him, but what I wanted more than anything right now, was answers. I pushed against his chest and he stepped back. 


He groaned, "can we talk about that later?" He tried to kiss me and I jumped away from him. I walked over to the closet and grabbed a robe to cover myself. 


He climbed in bed and sighed. "A woman's first heat generally happens within a year after awakening, and females typically have about four heats per year. A heat cycle can last anywhere from five to ten days. It's painful and frustrating at first but you get used to it after a while." 


I frowned, "so, it's a time that I'm ready to conceive?"
