The world has 5 continents and 9 seas.
The largest and most powerful continent, the Holy Land.
The most surprising thing about the Holy Land is, there is only one country.
The Asgard Empire.
Well of course, there are other kingdoms, however that is only in name. In truth, they are all subordinate kingdoms of the Asgard Empire.
There is also Ameuthe, where I live.
There are 3 overlords. The Blicsoca Empire, the Dabaira Empire and the Levantein Empire.
The rest are small fries I don’t really pay much attention to, the only notable person I found is Julius Arpen, he is a general of the Balote kingdom, a kingdom far west in the continent.
It honestly makes me wonder how they managed to recruit and train such a person.
He fought an army of 20,000 with a mere 500 privates. He single handily overturned the war that threatened his country. It is said he battled 30 men alone and defeated them.
There is the Conrid, which is governed by an alliance between 19 kingdoms. It is a miracle no kingdom tried to annex others and become an empire, as such the Conrid is the only continent without a single empire. However it is by no means weak, the trust between the 19 kingdoms is strong, in fact, if they work together they may crush empires of other continents.
Then there is also the Azure continent. Bunch of crazy bastards really. They follow old customs and refuse the world of magic. One thing is true though, some of them are ridiculously strong. Some could face an army by themselves.
Because of that the concept of kingdoms and empires is… a little bit impossible.
They instead operate with clans, or sects as they call it. Normal people simply live in cities or villages, and the sects recruit talented people and nurture them.
Basically, there are all these cities and villages with no affiliation. Then there are a bunch of clans with their own territory and they recruit from those cities and villages.
A very strange continent indeed.
And lastly, there is the Genod continent.
There is not much information available about Genod.
In fact, it is better to say there isn’t any information at all.
Around 7,000 years ago, a mist surrounded the continent.
Many sent reconnaissance troops, but without exception, none returned.
Entire battleships were lost, thousands of men gone.
Since then Genod became a forbidden zone.
Sometimes we still send a few scouts, but even now, no one returns.
Other than the fact that everyone who ever entered the continent was never seen again, we know nothing.
In other words. the fact the prophets said the Saint would unite 4 continents, it meant the entire known world.
Do I really have that ability?
…
It was Arjun’s birthday, it's a bit of a struggle to party with millions of soldiers in the city but we managed to have a festive atmosphere.
‘If I remember correctly, nothing happened during Arjun’s 10th birthday, I guess it’s okay to relax once in a while?’
I became 6, well technically I’d be 21, but eh, I’m starting to believe the theories on the brain and hormone stuff the scientists talked about.
Although I know I am ‘21’, I can’t help but act like a 6 year old. Most definitely my underdeveloped brain’s fault.
I took a stroll in the city, disguised of course.
Can’t be too careful.
Even the day before I had died, I loved visiting the city.
It was always lively, and had a cosy feeling.
A kid approached me. Well I say kid but he’s a head taller than me.
“Hello?”
“...Forgive me for this”
The kid unsheathed a knife which was hidden under his clothes.
‘Is he crazy? We’re in the middle of a gazillion soldiers and you attempt to assassinate me?’
I frowned, activating a defence artefact, then pulling out my own sword.
Damn this body, I still can’t exert my skills properly.
With some difficulty I disarmed him then flicked off his hood.
Isn’t that?
The assassin that had tried to take my life a week before I died. I’d recognise those crimson eyes anywhere.
‘I don’t know what made you an assassin but you made a mistake revealing yourself before you’ve fully grown. Nevertheless, I can eliminate one future threat now’
I smashed his head with the flat side of my sword, effectively knocking him out.
Hm, I guess wigs and glasses are too big for a 6 year old to use as proper disguises.
I went to the nearest guard and informed him about the kid assassin.
After that I just went back to the mansion. Who knows if there is another assassin, a professional one.
…
Last year, the assassination clan named Red Flower didn't exist yet. But now in the documents, it has been noted a small group have begun to call themselves the Red Flower and take a lot of assassination jobs. I wonder how such a small group became one of the underworld overlords in just 9 years.
I currently do not hold any military authority, and the Empire does not have the liberty to eliminate every single black guild that exists within their territory, even if they know and have the means to destroy them.
By the time the Red Flower is big enough for the Empire to take notice and try and remove the clan, it would already be too late. The Red Flower will have replaced the Nether Crows and become one of the 12 untouchables. Underworld clans so powerful even the Empire can't do anything about them.
Of course, should the underworld forces be confronted face to face, the Empires would win, overwhelmingly so even. Sadly, they are called 'underworld' for a reason.
So, I don't have the authority, and the Empire won't take action. The only one I can rely on is my father. I will have to stress that it gives me an ominous feeling. If I succeed, father will assume it has something to do with one of the Saint's power of foresight. That also means he will associate me with the identity of 'Saint' so asking for favours will be easier
Never mind all that.
The last threat is going to be eliminated so I just need to lay low until I become 16.
