I was waiting outside my car for Poppy to come outside. When she finally walked out of her house, she was holding a brown paper bag.

"Okay, what's up with the funeral clothes?" Poppy asked inspecting my all-black outfit.

"I can do anything I want on my birthday right?" I grinned at her.

She shook her head at me. "I brought you a surprise," she said waving the bag at me.

"Cookies?" I asked, trying to sniff them.

"No, it's better than that." I reached for the bag and she pulled it away, stuffing it inside her purse before I could reach it. "If you like what we do today, then you can have it."

"And if I don't?"

She smiled. "Well, you'll watch me eat it?"

"So, this is your attempt of forcing me to have a great time?"

"Was it that obvious?" She grabbed the car keys from my hand. "Since it's your birthday, you have the privilege of me being your personal driver today."
