Rhys pulled his body away from Gretta. "Do you know how valuable this stone is to me?! How could you destroy it!"

"The stone hasn't worked since I got it, the remaining power it had was completely taken by Mat!" Gretta did not have the strength to explain. "Is it still useful to you even though it has no power?!"
