Chapter 84: Preliminary Battle (V)

"The next battle shall be Shiro Aburame of the Leaf vs Hanae of the Sand."

Shiro calmly walked to the ring, with Hanae doing the same, though they both had many different thoughts going through their minds as they both analyzed everything about their opponent based on everything they had examined so far.

'So she's a shinobi from the Sand? That means the probability of her utilizing Wind Style is the greatest, followed by puppetry and poison. She could also be a kekkei genkai user, though I doubt it since they already sent a shinobi who can use Scorch Style and Magnet Style is exclusive to the Kazekage clan. That means I should keep the distance between us minimal during this match.' Shiro thought as he finally made it to his position.

'An Aburame Clan member? That means he utilizes bugs as his main form of combat and he most likely possesses many secret techniques of his clan, making the danger of this match even greater. This means my Wind Style will be the key to taking the win in this battle.' Hanae thought as she finally stood directly opposed to Shiro.

Both finished formulating their battle plans and stood ready to take the other down.

"BEGIN!!"

Hanae attempted to make the distance between the two greater, with her expecting Shiro to do the same, only for him to body flicker directly in front of her.

The surprise caused her made her freeze for a moment, with Shiro using it to deliver a powerful kick that sent Hanae into the ground.

Hanae regained her bearings in a quick manner, with her weaving hand signs before she spoke

"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!!!"

She used the powerful wind current to create a better distance between the two of them.

Shiro narrowly avoided the major brunt of the attack, with him counterattacking immediately by sending some of his bugs into the ground.

Shiro had trained extensively for the past few years to overcome the average weaknesses of the Aburame Clan.

While he had always known the weaknesses were there when he was younger, he never actively attempted to fix them until he met Tsunade and she showcased the fact that a skilled opponent could use the weakness to take his life.

After that, he began to train to not only increase his body's physical strength and skill in taijutsu but also learn ninjutsu to expand his offensive capabilities.

With his chakra nature being water, Tsunade was able to guide him greatly during the time they all trained together.

This, alongside his clan-related jutsu, simply increased his threat in battle.

Shiro used the body flicker to appear directly in front of Hanae once more, with him this time weaving hand signs before he spoke

"Water Style: Wild Water Wave!!!"

A high-speed pressure of water came from his mouth and flew towards her.

Hanae dodged the initial attack and was able to avoid the subsequent onslaught of the attack as Shiro moved the water to chase her.

However, as Hanae continued to move to avoid the attack, a swarm of bugs came from underneath her and swarmed her.

Hanae's chakra was drained at a terrifying rate, with Hanae being entirely out of chakra by the time she the bugs finally ceased coming out of the hole.

Shiro calmly stood in the ring while his bugs returned to him and went back to their resting place.

"The winner of this match is Shiro Aburame!!" The examiner spoke while the medical ninja swarmed the ring and checked up on Hanae.

Many of the Jonin were surprised by Shiro's way of winning as he didn't completely focus on using his Clan's techniques and instead branched out into multiple avenues of a shinobi.

The stage was then cleared as the next match was announced.

"The next round will be Tsunade Senju of the Leaf vs Noriki of the Stone"
