Chapter 113: Next Stage

Tsunade looked at Choma, Shiro, and Orochimaru as they prepared to depart, with her giving this being their final chance to turn down the mission as she knew how dangerous it would be.

Tsunade had chosen them both for this mission out of all of their companions after great deliberation.

Orochimaru was a genius at nearly everything, with his ability to pick up and acquire new knowledge being immense. His strength was second only to Tsunade, and she felt like her close friend had a few tricks up his sleeve that would make him a difficult opponent even for her. This would be a key help that she would need on such a mission.

Just like he only knew her primary forms of attack, she only knew his. However, her trust in him was so great that she didn't doubt him in the slightest, as she believed with her there to pull him from the darkness, he would never end up like his canon counterpart.

Choma, on the other hand, had mastered many secret techniques of his clan and had even begun to combine them with his elemental chakra nature.

His ability to increase his size proved to be the most useful in this mission and could help him deal with the hordes of enemies they may have to face.

Shiro also would be a great help, as he had mastered many insects of his clan and had even gained access to insects from the Shikkotsu Forest.

This made him deadly in any large-scale battles, and while did not get a good chance to exhibit it fully during the last battle, in this one he would be an integral key in Tsunade's plan.

She had purposely left Jiraiya and Shikai at the camp, with Jiraiya's strength being at a high enough level that she was confident he could deal with any attack Suna may throw at them.

Shikai would be able to properly organize her troops to an optimal degree and lead the battle in her stead.

Tsunade's worries were forced to be put away as she focused back on the mission ahead of her, with her leading the way as they headed to the last place the Iwa army was reported being.

"Are all the men organized and ready to move out?" spoke a tall, slender, and muscular woman with a black braid.

Her metal armor made her unique as most would not usually wear something like this, though the usually hindering armor seemed to not be bothering her in the slightest.

"Yes, Lady Asuka. We have prepared the troops according to the battle formation plan you thought of." the Kumo Jonin who stood before answered.

"Have we been able to root out the higher leveled spies?" she asked, referring to the spies that Konoha has in the Village.

"We have. The highest-ranking shinobi we were able to discover was a Jonin named Mishimoto Kanui. He had been sending information to Konoha, and we were able to properly apprehend him." the Jonin answered once more.

The woman paused slightly before she continued "We should have eliminated the spy, not giving him the chance to speak another word in this lifetime. I want you to tell the Raikage that I suggest he kill that traitor, or at the very least remove his tongue so that he may not tattle anymore."

The Jonin could only sweat and agree as he knew angering the woman in front of him would be a death wish.

"Let my troops know that we will move at the break of dawn. And let them know that I want the head of the Konoha Camp's Commander sitting on my desk soon." Asuka said before she left the room, leaving the Jonin feeling a chill up his spine as he felt that she truly meant those words.

'May the Sage of Six Paths save the poor soul that battles against the Feline of Kumo.' the Jonin thought as he left to report to the Raikage.
