Killed five and more annoying jumping fat frogs!

The party can now claim their reward upon visiting the Adventurer's Guild and talking to the receptionist lady, whose name is Ms. Luna, Kazuma just learned of this a few days back, he just forgot until now.

Kazuma is carrying the wet and slimy Megumin on his back as Aqua was holding on to Kazuma's left arm, completely traumatized once more, adding up the crying too. At least she ain't screaming it out like a baby would do.

This is the second time Aqua has failed to take her revenge on those frogs, and both times her spells didn't work on someone, which is completely absurd and most importantly embarrassing.

If one of Aqua's followers saw her being eaten, it would ruin her image as a goddess forever! Left to be nothing but be remembered as this weak goddess who got eaten by a vile weak creature!

"Hey, Aqua?" Kazuma said in to which Aqua stopped crying for a bit to listen. She feels like something bad is going to happen for being eaten once again making Kazuma a bit stressed there, which is only to be deserved for what he has done to her! But…

"You're whiny, but please don't cry. You did your best, and that's what matters." Kazuma said with a smile, though he only smiles to keep Aqua quiet.

He likes Aqua, but not her annoying cries…

But Aqua saw this as his genuine opinion about her.

"Don't force yourself alone, we're a team remember?" Kazuma made sure to make Aqua remember that by speaking a bit loud for her to get the point that running off alone like a kid who doesn't know where her parents are, is a shitty idea and should not be repeated, ever.

"We help each other out from now on, even in toughest times, no obstacle can even stop us if we're together! So don't cry, alright?"

Kazuma has a feeling that he's doing this weird thing every friendship anime does. Where the protagonist raises morale for his friends to never give up and in the end every problem is solved just like that?

Yeah, that's bullshit, Kazuma is not going to go around and be friendly to other people, he would rather do things his own way. Make his own harem, look down on other people that aren't that important anyway, and most importantly he doesn't care who it is, even if it's god herself, he will be #1, not sure what of, but he aims to be at the very top! Soon at least.

Aqua got a weird feeling on her chest when she listened to probably the most boring dialogue Kazuma said ever, but Aqua took that seriously because she's upset right now, almost anything positive feedback is good for her right now.

Aqua wipes her tears from her eyes and nods with a meager smile.

"You're right, We're a team now! And as a team, we pay off each other's debt!"

"Excuse me, what?" Kazuma said to himself as he deeply sighs. Clearly, he wants to go to sleep to do the next big thing that will be coming tomorrow.

"I'm not paying your debts…" Kazuma said as he looks behind him to which he greets Megumin who looks to be upset about what happened today, she didn't expect she would be swallowed in a frog's mouth today.

Aqua pouts as she crossed her arms with her sights away from him, though he'll be in that nice guy phase someday.

"So, now we move on to you Megumin."

But before Kazuma could say anything his mouth is covered by two hands with a whisper behind his ear.

"I already know what you're going to say, and for my answer, is simply no," Megumin said with her scary tone but she probably doesn't know what's about to come, and it's a full-on acceptance…

Well, it's to be expected because other parties see her like this powerful but weak magician, and since Megumin was offered a lot of food and she was given a chance to lead the party… She can't back down on this party now!

…

"I haven't even said anything yet…"

Things such as rejection can be a painful thing, and could be the start of a detriment of a person, which is why Kazuma often says yes to people when he is a woman.

Of course there are some situations where this could threaten your life, this might as well kill you as soon as you accept something, and Megumin just fits both of the opinions he has of accepting and rejecting.

But if there's one thing Kazuma will say yes to no matter what, is a cute loli being by his side all the time! Even though he sees Megumin with his very eyes and he might as well be a ped0.

Megumin was still on Kazuma's back and he can feel how tight she's wrapping her arms around his neck. She really doesn't wanna let go.

"No? Oh that's a shame. I really think we would be a great team together, but since you already made a decision, let's part ways after we split the reward, sound good?~" Kazuma asked in an almost teasing way, but Megumin took this as a sudden serious turn and immediately retracted what she said.

"NO NO NO NO! What I meant is.. yes! Yes I'd like to join the party!"

"Oh~? But you already made a decision, it's too late to- -dAW!"

Megumin started to grip on Kazuma's hair and started to just make a small tantrum.

"Okay okay! AW! just let go of my hair! I-I was joking!" Kazuma said as he tries to get Megumin off, like the original intends to do.

Aqua, who was watching the whole thing unfold couldn't help but have a giggle in this. It's fun to see him in misery once in a while after causing so much misery to her.
