Visiting Abelardo's office

We finally arrived at our destination after such a long walk. The maid led me to a private spa center.

Oh my gosh, would I be having a spa?. The steam baths and massage are what I need after suffering from Madison's attack. A relaxation and spa treatment that would revivify my face, and body just to make me great.

Two more maids came in. They appeared so young and innocent.

"Take care of her." The bossy maid spoke in a firm voice that made the other maids and even me shudder.

"Princess Riley, I leave you in good hands and now I may take my leave." The bossy maid referred to me as a princess. Do they now know who I am and where I come from?.

That explains why I was taken captive; If Madison is unaware of the reason why and Abelardo asserts that I am not entertaining the people so they might wager, then perhaps it has to do with my status as a princess of Quimpe. I will soon find out why I was taken, for whatever purpose.

I asked the maid a few questions and was able to obtain some answers as they took care of my body.

"Why am I having a spa day?." I questioned the maids.

"Well, it's because king Abelardo prefers his guest to look spotless and lovely."

"May I know the meaning of Abelardo's kingly title?."

"Well, it's because Abelardo's brother is the king of Alon."

"You mean Abelardo is the brother to the king of Alon kingdom?."

"Yes."

At least, I was able to gather some information on my own. I know Madison won't tell me everything, so I'll have to conduct my own research. After the spa, I had my hair done and received a light application of makeup on my face.

Now on to my dress, Ivory silk was used to make the pink gown. The top was covered with thousands of pearls and it featured a pink belt to match. The lower portion was enormous like those ball gowns. The shoes were golden slippers. It was quite cozy and the perfect size for me. Even my hair was bundled up in a pretty cozy hairdo.

The maid led me to Abelardo's office. I breathed in and out as I entered the office.

The office was not what I expected, it was like a private palace with a beautiful throne. A long glass window that allows you to see the beautiful view of nature. The room had party lights and there was a piece of cool background music.

"Welcome to my mini-palace. Any compliment?."

"What good place you have there." I looked around as I sat on a chair.

"You would wonder why you were captured, right?. And I know you have a dozen of questions. Am sorry that I won't be able to answer all of that for you but one thing I can tell you is that I need a little favor from you."

"What favor?."

"You would know sooner or later but what I want you to work on is your fighting skills. I planned a personal trainer for you."

"And who is that?."

"Am sure you have met Abiri."

"I thought he was a doctor."

Abelardo chuckled. " Abiri got a lot of special skills apart from being charming. He is a scientist, doctor, inventor, fighter, and many more. That's quite a lot of skills you know. His father was an architect and the one who drew the structure of this building. So you can see it runs in the family. Let's talk about you, you can now have a room of your own instead of staying in that dungeon with Oracle, and again are you enjoying your stay here?."

"How could you be so heartless to lock your daughter up in a dungeon!."

Abelardo laughed so hard that he could almost fall off the chair.

"What's so funny?." I was a little confused.

"Madison is not my daughter. She is the daughter of my twin brother king Liam. He was so terrified of Madison due to the power that she holds and wanted to kill her. But I adopted her, I've been trying to control her but she is a wild horse who wants to be free from the stable!."

Who is lying between Madison and Abelardo?. Am still confused. "But that doesn't give you the right to treat her like that!."

"Riley, it's better you don't interfere. There is a lot to it than meet the eye."

"Fine...but do you know what the Miapytes are?." I asked.

"Yes, I do. I see you have been doing some digging on your own. The Miapytes are after Madison's life and they want her dead. The king is a Miapytes priest while her mother is a priestess of Goddess Imari. But her mother is nowhere to be found. Madison is going through some trauma and she needs friends to help her get through it."

"Okay, so where am I to go next?."

"Abiri's laboratory."

"Why?."

"You will know why, when you get there "

After my conversation with Abelardo, I got to know a lot about Madison. At least that would help me.

After leaving Abelardo's office, I went to the lab then Abiri tied my hand with a belt.

"What is going on here?." I asked as I struggle to break free but the belt won't budge.

"Relax, this won't take long." He injected a liquid into my system. My eyes started to close and my eyelashes felt heavy.

"What did you do to me?." I tried to struggle but I was too weak

"Don't fight it," Abiri whispered. I couldn't fight whatever strong content he injected into my system so I lost consciousness in the end.
