"So…how was your night out?" Katherine asked me softly, her voice sounding sleepy and content, that gave the mental image of a kitten about to nap.

"Mmm, pretty boring…slaughtered about two dozen foot soldiers of the Hellsing family's army, saved little Hayley from dying all alone in a hospital bed in some Podunk town." I replied while also starting to feel sleepy as I telekinetically moved Katherine to laying on her back so I could lay my head on her tummy and sleep using her as my pillow.

Loving the way her hands instantly went to massaging my scalp as she hummed something that put me further at ease making me fall deeply asleep in her embrace.

'I leave you alone for five seconds and you get into all sorts of trouble, my sweet love.' Katherine thought to herself letting the pleasant feelings of having her "child", the person she sired having such a strong connection between them.

'To think he saved that werewolf girl again, It hasn't even been a year yet…since the last time he saved her from the parents of the kid she accidentally killed in a car accident. and then her adopted parents, who saw what she turned into during the full moon and were going to turn her into the church as a demon, would send out their hunters to kill her.' Katherine continued to think to herself as she let herself fall asleep after adoringly staring at the top of Kai's sleeping head.

I woke up to the smell of food cooking in the kitchen, and what should have smelled appetizing smelled bland and flavorless.

"Don't show Diana that you don't enjoy normal food anymore." Katherine hummed softly to me, making me look up at her with scrunched eyebrows.

Katherine only smiled a soft sad thing of a smile.

"One of the few things she can do for you is cook…don't take that away from her for now. She needs to feel necessary and not as though she's a burden." Katherine explained softly and I nodded in understanding that Diana was probably going to be delicate for quite awhile after the events of the other night.

Soon the calm of the morning was interrupted by the door to the apartment slamming open and Josette storming inside her eyes bloodshot and puffy while she looked near rabid in worry and grief.

Until our eyes met and then she charged forward like a bull towards a luchador and threw herself at me in a hug.

She started sobbing against my chest and I found myself reluctantly embracing and comforting her.

"I thought you were dead, our bond went completely silent again." Josette said in a pained whimper that left my mind reeling and my emotions going haywire.

'How the fuck did she get through the wards…right that would be why.' I nearly smacked myself as after bonding with her magic in the prison world our magics merged so the wards even though my magic is different after consuming those Demons still resonates with her's.

'Gonna have to redo all the fucking warding and protective enchantments again.' I thought to myself as I absentmindedly rubbed Jo's back.

"It's nice to see you again Jojo." I said and I couldn't tell whether I meant it or not.

"Haha. It's nice to see you again, Kai." Josette laughed a strangled thing before choking on her reply from heavy emotions.

After getting Josette settled down I found myself sitting at an awkward breakfast table that was filled with so much tension I thought it'd end with bloodshed.

Between Faye and Hayley having a stare off at one another, to Josette and Diana staring at one another as the tightly held silverware in their hands bent and became warped.

Katherine sat on my lap and had a stare down with Cassie Blake and Melissa Glasser, the newest coven members.

'Yeah, I really don't feel anything for those two…other than their blood smells good.' I thought to myself as even though my emotions were more intense I also felt like what I'd felt towards Faye and Diana had diminished as well, not by much but a noticeable difference as to what they were before becoming a vampire.

'Is this a change brought on by Vampirism, since they're humans and now food?' I wondered to myself while I couldn't quite equate Faye and Diana as food in my mind it was hard not to look at Cassie and Melissa as anything but a nice raw steak.

"You're getting hungry." Katherine whispered in my ear…"you're showing your true face. Don't worry I've got you covered." Katherine continued to soft whisper in my ear before she got out of my lap and went to the fridge and brought over a blood bag.

"Drink, but drink it slowly." Katherine said in a husky and seductive way that had goosebumps rising up across my flesh.

As soon as the blood touched my tongue, I realized just how hungry I was, as I started sucking through the straw in a way that would make a professional fluffer blush.

"Slow down." Katherine commanded firmly but quietly and found my body reacting to her commands as I slowed down and drank the blood at a respectable rate.

"Good boy." Katherine said softly as she hugged my head to her chest and ran her fingers through my hair.

I looked towards the other's and noticed all of them were looking at Katherine with something akin to jealousy while staring at me hungrily.

Even Hayley had a look of wanting in her eyes.

"I think it'd be best if all of you kept your distance until I have a better handle on being a vampire…I don't think I'd survive it, if I accidentally turned one of you into a lunchables and ate you like a ten year old fat kid that eats the wrappers too." I told them while looking pitifully towards them trying to get them all to agree, which was easy for Cassie and Melissa, while Faye and Diana looked like they were seconds away from arguing with me about staying by my side. Josette's gaze pretty much guaranteed that she wasn't going anywhere any time soon and surprisingly, Hayley just looked amused.

I couldn't help but sigh in relief as Katherine had helped convince everyone but Jo to leave, and Hayley went on her way as I pulled her new car out of my inner world.

After telling her about the anti-scrying and tracking tattoo I placed on her while she was asleep, she threw a right hook at me before kissing me on the lips and then jumping into the car and driving away.

"You really have a way with girls you know." Katherine said to me pouting as she sat down in the chair behind me as I worked on my magical lightsaber swords.
