"Where the hell were you 've been calling out for you."
He whined and I glared at him for startling me but waved it off with a sigh.
"I thought you were going out today."
I said to Wallace the moment we settled down at the bar.
We started discussing some vital issues here in the pack that needed to be sorted out and Wallace also included Adolphus as one of our major problems.
"I don't care whatever Adolphus's plans are, but one thing I'm sure of is that I'm gonna make his child pay for everything he did to me and let's see if Aldophus wouldn't surrender,"
I roared as I was clutching the tumbler in my palm.
"But don't you think an adult daughter is too innocent to suffer from what she doesn't know about?"
I was already angry and Wallace said that, made me boil like hell. I combed my fingers through my hair and puffed.
"Innocent?? You Maybe forget that I was just a kid when Adolphus captured me, tortured me, and made me watch my father's death." I gnash my teeth against each other.
"That's the reason why you should make Adolphus pay instead of his daughter. You torturing her doesn't make any sense. For the sake of everyone doing the right thing, you know the life of our pack is on edge and when Aldophus decides to strike we are all going down solo...."
"Shut up!!!!" My voice rang out on its own.
The fact that everyone has to be scared of that bastard Adolphus was what I hated the most, I hate being considered as less powerless before him... it made me burn with rage.
"Hey, chill!"
A female voice hacked in which made both me and Wallace look up to the door to see Rachel waking in.
She was in a short ball gown and heels. Her hair was neatly permed.
"What are you doing here Rachel?" I asked the moment she got to us.
"Excuse me, what sort of question is that? Am I not welcome here?"
She nagged, flipping her hair back. Always being dramatic.
"Maybe, because I didn't invite you" My voice was cold as I shrug carelessly.
"Are you kicking me out?" She shrieked.
"C'mon Rachel He never said that." Wallace intervenes and Rachel averted her gaze to him flashing him a very deadly glare.
Let's just say Rachel and Wallace aren't on good terms and I wouldn't blame her, Wallace may be holding a special rank here in the pack but he's from a very poor family and it isn't in Rena's nature to flow well with commoners. She dropped her clutch on the table and leaned close to Wallace.
"Was I in any way referring to you?" She asked coldly.
"You were misinterpreting what the Alpha was saying and I guess it was my duty to act as his spokesman."
Wallace played a smirk on his lips as he loves teasing Rachel which I enjoy so much.
"The next time you try to intrude into my conversation, I'll slit your tongue." I chuckled at her choice of threat.
"That threat is getting old, I'm still waiting for that next time you'll finally fulfil it."
Wallace chuckled and Rachel glared at him without saying a word.
She took one of the chairs and made herself comfortable as she took a glass for herself.
"Anyways Lowell, assuming Aldophus refuses to surrender his pack, what will happen to the girl, are you gonna kill her?"
Here again, Wallace brought back the topic.
"Why are you sounding like she's your mate?" I yelled. " She's my slave and I'll decide that later."
"Wait..." Rachel scoffed. "Is Wallace having a soft spot for your slave??"
She blunted in a mocking tone and Wallace wanted to say something but was interrupted by her presence...Daciana.
She was holding a tray of food and walking down in our direction.
When she got to us she bowed and dropped the food on the table, her head turned towards the area where Rachel was sitting and what she did next shook me.
"You are here?"
She asked as though she's known Rachel for a long time and without a warning, she engulfed Rachel in a hug.
"Thank you so much for the other day, I didn't get the chance to thank you again, you don't know how much you saved my life thanks long."
She rambled on Rachel's shoulder and with her husky voice, I could sense tears clouding in her eyes.
If I say Rachel was shocked, it's an understatement. Give me a word for something more than shock.
"What the hell.." Rachel muttered.
"Get the hell off me.." she yelled this time and pushed Daciana off her with great force making her crash down to the table and the sound of broken bottles and a loud thud of someone falling to the ground was heard.
I was quite expecting that cause I like very well Rachel could not have had anything to do with not just anyone but a slave.
Nah... and now looking more into this scene that played here, everything makes sense somehow. Daciana could have mistaken Rachel for her twin sister—Rena since Rena is more open to people than Rachel.
