Chapter 39. The trip 2

PROSE MODE.

Kristyn pushed in the partly glazed, partly panelled, double shutter doors. She had just returned from the mall with Horace. The air was cool but the sun was hot. So this was his house in Trois, huh? She glanced around the voluminous room.

"When you said you had a house here, I thought you meant something like your apartment, not a f*cking mansion!"

"Wanna explore?"

"Yup!"

He beckoned to the butler to take her shopping bags upstairs. The corners of the house had just about disappeared into the shadows by the time he'd ended the tour. They'd arrived at Trois at half passed one in the afternoon.

Shopping took up to two hours then the tour ate up what was left of the afternoon. Kristyn settled into the sofa, she was drowsy. She glimpsed at him ordering the butler to do something before shutting her eyes completely.

"Are we sharing a room?"

Kristyn narrowed her gaze at him, he drowned the smirk from his face.
