Chapter 66. Uncomfortable

Josie pulled out her silver hairbrush from the chest of drawers.

She had a boring habit of brushing her thick black locks of hair, a hundred times before going to bed. Killian was already on the humongous twin bed, leaning on a pillow that propped him half up against the headboard. Head buried in some reports that came in late from the Court.

"Killian how many times have I told you not to bring your work into our bedroom? You're here to rest. Leave whatever's left of your workload in the study."

Killian finished up the last sentence quickly and dematerialized it from his hands. He'll just have to pick up from where he left off tomorrow. His wife was already mad at him for permitting her second daughter to move out of the palace. He didn't plan on adding more to that.

"I miss Skipper."
