Chapter 109: Emotion

SKIPPER

The dark wings of night enfolded the city upon which nature had spread a pure white garment of snow.

Tirhanna finally decided to meet me again.

I brooded the freezing fog rolling in from the east, I was bare to the bones. There was no covering to shield me, I was completely naked.

The dream began in silence. Bright as day yet so birdsong filled the air. The cold had taken hold, there was ice everywhere and no life of any kind. I kept threading forward. The powdery ice crunched underneath my bare feet and the frostbite started to seep in.

"There you are."

I flinched when I noticed the smile that crept into Tirhanna's face. She went on brightly.

"I've never gone to the beach before. I wanna see the ocean, listen to the waves and smell that salty air. And walking through the sand in the sunset while feeling the foam tickle my toes."
