Gone

"Hurry!" I shouted while running.

"Did we lose her?" Sabrina asked.

"I don't think so," Harry replied.

After defeating Merlin, we trapped him in the Mirror Dimension while he was unconscious. We stepped past the gateway, leading to Kamar-Taj. After we killed the librarian and got the book, The Ancient One appeared, so we were forced to run back to the gateway. After getting out of the gateway, we arrived back in Britain. While we dashed our way to the front gate of the Sanctum full of dead bodies, then a portal opened and The Ancient One stepped out of it.

"Morgana?" asked The Ancient One.

"I am not here for your lecture," I said.

"You killed all of these Sorcerers?" she asked.

"Not all of them, and they were in my way," I replied

I summoned up The Army of Dead to attack her. The Ancient One conjured two fans by Mystic Arts and started to take them down one by one. Her movement was so flexible when she dodged, parried, and slashed. It was like The Dance of a Sorcerer and the Dead on the battlefield. Sabrina cast The Seven Suns Of Cinnibus, a line of red-orange lightning, striking the rest of the army, then toward The Ancient One. She extended her arm and turned the lighting into pigeons. After that, she commanded them to fly toward us and exploded. Patrick cast The Shield of the Seraphim to cover us from the explosion. During the explosion, I teleported us away from her back to our coven. We all could barely stand on our feet after the whole operation.

"Did we get away?" asked Harry.

"Yes," I said. "But she will keep coming for us, as long as we still keep this book."

"So you are saying that we need to learn the spells than leave the book somewhere on the street?" asked Patrick.

"That seems like a good idea," replied Sabrina.

[3 months later]

The atmosphere and the music in the tavern were delightful. The rhythm of love was playing while a man took a seat next to me.

The man wore a green medieval coat with a dagger on his left hip. He had short blonde hair with no scars on his face.

"Morgan," said the man.

"Victor," I replied.

"How is the coven," he looked at me with his emerald eyes.

"The coven is doing fine." I made eye contact. "What brings you home?"

"The attack of the Sanctum," he said, then took a glass at the bar and magically filled it with red wine.

"How lovely," I said, then raised my glass to cheer. "That will make a man that left me comes back. What do you want?" I said, then took a sip.

"I am just worried about you," he said after taking a sip. "You cannot keep putting them in danger-"

"They are not kids anymore, Victor," I interrupted him. "Do not forget you left us 7 years ago. You need to catch up."

"You took one of The Ancient One private book collection, what were you thinking?"

"We returned it - by dropping it somewhere on the street," I said after taking another sip.

"That does not make it alright, Morgan," he turned to me. "Whatever, I am staying with you."

"Did you have my permission?" I asked him.

"I am asking for it now," he replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"I want to be with you," he said.

"But you left me."

"That was a mistake. I miss you," he said, then leaned in to kiss me.

"Do not leave me again," I said to him.

Victor joined us after that. He helped us with a few operations. Together we were archived so much and became powerful. We all mastered Eldritch Magic, Dark Dimension Magic, Mirror Dimension Magic, Witch Magic, and Darkhold Magic. After a few more years, Victor successfully convinced me that family is more important than power. We got married and decided to dismiss The Darkholders, Harry was against this at first but he accepted. We all went our separate ways, Sabrina found a man that could take care of her, Patrick and Harry were mercenaries, and I gave birth to little Marina. That was when we thought we could live happily ever after with my family.

[6th Century, 544]

"Mother, I am home," said Marina. Marina had her father's blonde hair and emerald eyes. Her hair was long and straight, she wore a white dress which remind me a lot of Sabrina.

"Welcome home, sweaty," I said while sitting on a chair. "How was magic training with father,"

"I learned how to teleport today," she said, then sat next to me.

"Have father told you to be careful with teleportation?" I said while stroking her hair.

"Yes, he has. I will be careful with it."

"Good girl, you are 19 now, so remember to be careful out there and avoid guards when you must," I said to her.

Light footsteps approached the house, then entered Victor. He already had a very long day, he needed to teach her magic and also gather woods. I usually took care hunting for food but he voluntary hunt for that day.

"I have heard it was a fun lesson," I said.

"It was," Victor said while walking toward me, then leaned in to kiss me.

"Have you"

told mother your wish?" Victor asked Marina.

"Um... I have not," she said.

"What do you want to tell me, sweety?" I asked her.

"Um... Can you take me to a town? I have been living here for 19 years. I have never seen other people before," said Marina.

"My child, I know but-" Victor placed his hand on my shoulder. "Alright, I will go with you - tomorrow. How does that sound?"

"Thank you!" she said, then hugged me.

She wasn't wrong, I kept her around the house for so long. We grew our food and built our own house. We separate ourselves from towns and kingdoms. With our knowledge of magic, it would be best to stay out of sight.

In the morning that day, we were ready to take off to explore the town around here. Marina was pretty excited, it was her first time going to town. As for me, the last time I had been to a town was 20 years ago. Inside of me, I also missed this feeling. After walking with Marina for an hour and a half, we had finally arrived in a town but something wasn't right. The whole town was nothing but ashes. Bodies, that had been burned into pitch black were lying around the destroyed town.

"Mother, what happened here?" asked my daughter frighten.

"I do not know my child," I said to her. "Stay close to me," I said pulling her behind my back, then walking slowly into the town.

"Mother why are we walking in?" she was more frightened than before.

"I know - I know, I need to know what caused this." we walked past the dead bodies. They seemed could be turned into ashed when you touch them lightly. It seemed like they had been killed by powerful magic, the magic could cause this much Chaos. After walking a few more steps, I encountered two bodies. I recognized them because they were Harr and Patrick. I couldn't believe my eyes, but after I saw the medallions of the Darkholders. I was happy since they were still wearing them, but at the same time - sad. I kneed down, and everything around me turned into a mumble. When I kneed down, I accidentally cast a continuous wind spell while I wasn't in control of my body anymore and let emotions take over. Everything around me turned into ashes and flew along with the wind of magic.

"M...o...mo...th...er...mother...MOTHER!"

"Marina?" I finally snapped out of it, took my daughter's hand, and looked around. "Did I scare you - I'm so sorry-"

"Mother, you do not have to," Marina said while wiping my tears. "You know them, mother?"

"They were your uncle Harry and Patrick, and they were my friends," I said.

"Who did this to them?" Marina asked.

"I do not - wait, I think - I do."
