...
Liu Wei smiled as she took hold of Queen Wang Zheng's hand and led her out of the house. At last, they had reached the garden.
Wang Zheng looked around in awe at the abundance of trees and flowers.
She never remembered her garden being so lush and vibrant.
In her mind, the queen recalled the sight of red apples hanging from a tree, ready to fall. The apple tree was just as beautiful as she remembered.
Beneath that grand apple tree stood a large table, and Wang Zheng walked slowly toward it, certain it had been arranged at Liu Wei's request.
"Do you like it?"
"How did you manage to do all this in such a short time?"
Liu Wei, her eyes sparkling with satisfaction, laughed softly. "If it's for you, I can do anything."
Wang Zheng then sat on one of the benches beside the table. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and felt a surge of happiness. As she surveyed the expansive garden, she noticed that much was still as she remembered: the small creek still babbled nearby, and she recalled days when she would rest her feet and watch her reflection in the water or chase after rabbits as they came to drink.
Liu Wei walked over and began rummaging through a thermal box. "Would you like some wine?" she asked.
The queen nodded and quickly accepted an empty cup. Watching Liu Wei smile as she selected a wine bottle, the young omega felt pleased with the choice her mother had made for the occasion. In mere seconds, Liu Wei, ever so deft, removed the cork and filled Wang Zheng's cup.
"Aren't you going to drink with me?"
The little princess shook her head.
"Why not?"
"I'm driving," Liu Wei explained firmly.
She wouldn't risk the queen's safety or allow herself to be taken home by a guard just for a little wine.
Wang Zheng looked a little disappointed, even feeling a twinge of guilt at the thought of drinking alone, a habit that, in solitude, always felt somewhat melancholy.
"I promise that next time we'll drink together," Liu Wei assured her.
The queen smiled warmly into Liu Wei's sweet eyes. "Okay, I'm looking forward to that."
Gently, Liu Wei took the queen's hand and led her to a small seating area under the apple tree, where soft cushions awaited. The queen followed obediently, and soon they were seated side by side. Liu Wei could feel the queen leaning on her for support; their closeness was both comforting and intimate.
"I remember the day my mother scattered a bunch of toys around the garden, she made me search for them for hours," The queen recalled. In that moment, she realized how many happy memories Wang Zheng must have cherished in that home.
A quiet sigh escaped her as she briefly felt a pang of regret for not having been born earlier, missing the chance to experience those same precious moments.
"Your mother seems like a great woman," Liu Wei observed.
"She is… I was always cared for by so many. My birth mother looked after me until I was five, and when Dad remarried, I gained a new mother who cared for me until I was thirteen. They both took such good care of me." Wang Zheng's tone softened as she recounted her past. Her father had been married three times, the first wife died while pregnant with the king's first child (who, sadly, did not survive); the second, Wang Zheng's biological mother, passed away when she was only five from a severe heart condition; and the third, after becoming a widow, returned to her homeland to live in seclusion. For years, Wang Zheng had tried to re-establish contact with her, only to learn recently that she had died of old age.
Despite her troubled upbringing, Wang Zheng knew in her heart that she had been loved deeply by those who cared for her. Still, as she ran her slender fingers along the rim of her cup, a restless thought surfaced, would her mothers have approved of the path she'd chosen for her life?
Liu Wei briefly stroked the hand that was caressing the cup. "I'm sure they would be proud of you."
"I hope so…" the queen murmured, smiling sweetly as she gently touched the pendant that hung around her neck, a treasured gift from her second mother that she had never forgotten.
Though the queen had once been left alone on a throne without a father or a mother, she had come to understand that her survival was a testament to the prosperity of her reign.
Taking a sip of her wine, Wang Zheng suddenly felt the warmth of Liu Wei's breath brush her neck, sending shivers through her body. Lost in thought, the queen was barely aware that Liu Wei, drawn irresistibly by the queen's pheromones, felt a constant, almost animalistic urge, to bite, to mark her, to draw her even closer and savor that sweet, teasing scent.
Before long, Liu Wei found her face pressed against the queen's neck, her heavy breathing mingling with the queen's pale skin. Their proximity was dangerously enticing. Gradually, the queen's breaths grew heavier, a silent invitation that Liu Wei could not ignore.
"I missed your scent…" Liu Wei murmured softly, her voice low and trembling with excitement.
"I've been wondering what it would feel like to experience that again…" the queen sighed deeply.
"And how are you feeling?" Liu Wei asked, her eyes searching.
"I feel like I'm losing my mind…" the queen admitted.
Turning to face Liu Wei, the queen gazed into her eyes, filled with a mix of longing and lust. Swallowing hard, she reached out with the free hand and lightly caressed Liu Wei's face, feeling the warmth of the young omega's skin as it shivered under her touch.
Liu Wei closed her eyes, savoring that moment of innocent intimacy. The queen, feeling both the effects of the wine and the refreshing hint of mint that danced around her thoughts, spoke with a soft, wavering voice: "Look at me…"
Liu Wei's eyes fluttered open as she continued to feel the gentle caress. "…You are so beautiful," she whispered.
The sweet aroma of wine mingled with the closeness of the queen's lips, drawing them together slowly as if in perfect harmony with their own desires. When their lips finally met, nothing else mattered but the two of them. Overwhelmed by longing, Wang Zheng gently gripped Liu Wei's neck, deepening the kiss.
The young omega couldn't help but let out a soft moan, quickly muffled by their long, lingering embrace.
What they shared was powerful and magnetic, numb, intoxicating, and in that moment, they neither wanted to breathe nor move apart. The mingling flavors of pineapple and mint seemed as if they were made for each other.
No longer were they just two omegas casually drawn by pheromones, they had become two women enveloped in a passion that defied description, as potent and vibrant as the summer sun and as sweet and lively as blooming spring flowers.
After some time, they broke apart to catch their breath. Liu Wei stared at the queen's red lips, panting with satisfaction; the wine had left traces of its flavor on the queen's mouth, a reminder of its exquisite choice. Licking her lips, Liu Wei longed for more as she watched the queen pick up her cup and empty it. The sight of the queen's slightly raised neck as she drank the last few drops was utterly tempting, Liu Wei imagined leaving a delicate, biting trail on her pale skin.
Wang Zheng smiled amusedly as she caught Liu Wei's desire-filled gaze. Quickly, she set her cup on the table and, surveying the vast expanse of green around them, pointed with one hand.
"When I was little, I used to run around, waiting to be caught…"
Liu Wei looked puzzled for a moment, and the queen laughed softly. "I challenge you to catch me."
With that, the queen started running, and Liu Wei sprang to follow her. The two omegas laughed as they raced through the garden, Liu Wei teasing that she'd leave a scar if the queen were caught. Yet, the queen had no intention of losing, and the idea of being caught by Liu Wei was hardly unwelcome. Their playful run was filled with laughter, their hair streaming in the wind as the soft grass cushioned every step.
In a moment of carelessness, perhaps a result of the wine, the queen tripped, her steps unsteady. She landed softly on the grass, and before either could recover, Liu Wei found herself straddling the queen. Both were startled by the fall and even more so by the sudden, intense closeness. Their hearts raced, and each desperate breath reminded them of how entwined they had become.
In a swift, bold gesture, the queen wrapped her arms around Liu Wei's waist, enchanted by the young omega's presence and drawing her even closer. With every touch, Liu Wei felt an increasing heat within her, the heady scent of mint intensifying as the queen refused to let go.
Eventually, Wang Zheng propped herself up on her elbows and sat down, inviting Liu Wei to settle on her lap. The young omega did so willingly, their closeness deepening as Liu Wei's eyes remained fixed on the beauty before her.
"If we were in a romance, would this be the moment we kiss?" Liu Wei whispered.
The queen gently tucked a stray strand of Liu Wei's hair behind her ear, feeling the young omega shudder at the light caress. With a hoarse, almost muted voice, she struggled to speak, "Do you want to be in a romance with me?"
"We could try…" Liu Wei replied, wrapping her arms around the queen's neck and drawing her lips to hers.
Wang Zheng couldn't get enough of the sweet, refreshing mint flavor. Craving more, so much more, she gripped Liu Wei's waist tighter, and their kiss grew increasingly intense and desperate. As the kiss deepened, Liu Wei felt her strength slowly ebb away.
