Green: Gathering Wind

I released the handle of the axe and straighten my back as I took the towel draped around my neck to wipe the sweat drenched over my forehead. The slight ache over my arms made me grin as I saw Canis approaching me with a bottle of water in her hand.

She let out a whistle while tossing the bottle at me. I caught it effortlessly as she turns to sit over the giant boulder in front of me. I twisted the cap open and took a swig of the cool liquid quenched my parched throat. I gave a satisfied moan as the tip parted my now wet lips.

A sudden camera shutter sound made me turn to the direction and saw Canis' grinning as her phone's back was aimed at me.

Another clicked made me raised an eyebrow at her as I placed my left hand over my waist.

"What are you doing?" I asked knowing the reason quite well.

"Taking pictures."

"I know." I rolled my eyes chuckling as I turned to face her. "I'm asking why-"

"Wait!" She exclaimed making me pause and look at her confused until her camera clicked again. "Damn, Aries. You should be shirtless more often. And drenched in sweat."

"Pardon."

"Hahahaha... Blake's missing a lot now." Canis chuckled as she taps her phone over her lips. "But I guess he sees this... often. I guess." She mused.

"Blake does not need to see me sweating over chopping wood." I groan as I reach out to take her phone from her but she playfully slaps my hand away. She spat her tongue out at me childishly. "And knowing Blake, he would just probably say I stink or something crass about me covered in my own sweat..."

Canis clicked her tongue while wagging her finger in front of me.

"Aries. Aries." She started. "Blake might say that but with your sex appeal and how low those pants are right now, I bet he would be drooling internally as he starts eye raping you..."

I blushed, feeling my cheeks heat up at Canis' sudden statement.

"If I can appreciate on how a sexy beast you are, being your mate, Blake would be more attracted to you shimmering in the sun in all your glory." She smirks as I raised my arm holding the bottle to cover my face. " You're a good looking guy, Aries. As my Alpha, I appreciate that you're a reserved guy but damn dude, be more confident on how you look. Be more comfortable showing some skin."

"I don't know Canis..." I trailed off quite embarrassed at the praise.

"Well, I didn't imply that you do it immediately. You can start with Blake when you're together..." Canis continued. "Also, when you decide to be exclusively to be your mate's only patron, I have these photos to drool over."

She laughed hard making me frown at her.

"Just delete them, Canis. That's embarassing."

"Uh, no. And besides, I have some grease to smooth out my other Alpha when I want favors in the future." She waved her phone in the air.

"That's not fair Canis. Sometimes I wonder why you always tease me with things like these." I groan as I tried prying the phone off her hand.

"Don't be conceited, Aries." Canis rolled her eyes as she expertly avoided my lunges. "You are good looking and all but you're not the only one I took photos here."

I stopped and looked at her.

"You're just pulling my leg. I know that."

"Am not. I take Zephyr's pics too." She blurted out as I blocked her way out with my arms out stretched.

"Does he know?" I asked.

"Obviously not, Aries!" Canis replied. "Do you know uptight your Beta is about these things. He would have made me surrender all my treasures to him and go on for months without my beauties."

Canis exaggerated as she crosses her arms.

"You know he'll find out sooner or later." I warned her.

"I highly doubt it." Canis said proudly. "After meeting his mate, Frank... At which, I totally approve. Mister Serious has been less guarded when he is talking or thinking about his mate." She smirked as she moved back as I lunged forward. "And my theory is and I feel that he's the one taking it up the butthole. Not judging by the way."

I shut my mouth as the memory of when both Blake and I caught Zephyr and Frank doing the deed.

"What are you judging about, Canis?" I heard Zephyr asked as I turned to look at him walking towards our direction with Sera in tow.

I nervously smiled at them as Canis took the opportunity to dash on the opposite direction As Sera took an armful of wood and cradled them over her arms. Zephyr approached me with his face quite confused at what he just encountered between us and Canis.

I decided to keep my mouth shut for Canis' sake on what Zephyr might actually do to her when he finds out her voyeurism on us. I shook my head chuckling to myself at the tought.

"What are you laughing at?" Zephyr asked me as I waved at Sera as she walked off with the pile of wood around her arms.

"Nothing much." I replied. "The usual antics."

"I see." Zephyr groans as he turned to look at me wearing my shirt. "Sorry for this but the statements from the last few months Electrical and Mechanical Reports. I just need you to double check if it's all in order."

I took the clipboard and read the papers as Zephyr kicked a few rocks before turning to look at me.

"Everything's seems ok." I hand the reports over him with a proud smile. "You did great, Zephyr. I can't think what I would do if you're not here."

"No problem, Aries. I'm your Beta after all."

"It's just I had to hand you most of the responsibilities these past few days. I felt troubled that I'm burdening you too much."

He glares at me before smiling and smacking my shoulder playfully with the back of his left hand.

"What are you sorry about. You've been doing this since you were young." He stated. "I'm glad I could take some of those away from you. You need to learn to not take everything to yourself. I'm here to help you. The pack as well."

I smiled back.

"Thanks, Zephyr. I appreciate that a lot. Thanks."

"Don't sweat it." Zephyr grinned and looked at me. "How's Alpha Stephen? The packs pretty anxious about his return."

"So far he's doing fine. He and Lance are getting well from the last time we visited them to bring supplies." I stated. "I really hoped mother's taking it well."

We paused for a long while as I stared at the gently swaying branches.

"Luna's a strong and understanding person." Zephyr spoke. "I know she will be alright."

"I hope so." I sighed hoping that it would truly be the outcome.

"Everything's going quite well for you, I guess... Alpha Stephen is back and is now in good terms with Alpha Lance." Zephyr started with a smile as he looked forward in the same direction as me. "You and Blake... Sooner or later everything will be settling down and we be seeing this like a fond memory."

"Can't deny that." I nodded with a grin. "You and Frank as well..."

Zephyr sighed and tucked his hands in his pockets as he smirked.

"With our Alphas being mates." He looked at me from the corner of his eyes with a grin. "I thank the Goddess sometimes you two made out. Even though, I hate Blake's guts most of the time, it made it more easier on Frank and me that you two get together anyway."

"Well, both Blake and mine fathers are mates are well..." I added.

Zephyr chuckled.

"That too." Zephyr agreed. "It seems our packs where meant to be together."

I nodded as a gentle breeze blows our direction making me appreciate the cold season that is coming. Not soon both Zephyr and I started to walked back to home. When we arrived a few minutes later, I saw a tall woman talking to my mother.

The woman has a long, black wavy hair, a plump rack and bottom, as her beautiful chocolate skin. She moved like a pristine elegant woman as she laughed at my mother's joke.

As we approached, the two women stopped at what their talking and turned to look at us. The beautiful lady besides my mother started to look at me with a seductive smile, eying me from head to foot, which made me quite uncomfortable for a moment.

"Is this your son Gale?" The woman purred as approached me and clasped my hands in hers.

"Yes, Klamira." My mother confirmed as this Klamira lady approached me to give me a quick peck on both of my cheeks. "Aries this is Klamira. An old friend."

"A very old friend..." Klamira emphasized as she pulls out and eyes me. "My, my... You sure are Stephen's son. You did get his looks. Yum..."

"I'm sorry but excuse me...." I retorted politely. Zephyr seemed uncomfortable as well as his expression was irking.

"Please, forgive Klamira, son. She's just very, dare I say..."

"Affectionate, Gale." Klamira chuckled. "Don't worry, little Alpha. I'm just flirty with hot guys. Gale will agree that I do this things with Daddy Stephen." She purred.

I pursed my lips before looking at my mother, having a pleading look. Trying to be civil as much as I can. Zephyr trying his best to be respectful as well as the same with me.

"Klamira, please stop. Aries and Zephyr seems to be uncomfortable at your teasing." Mother pleaded as Klamira flicked her hair and returned to my mother's side, winking at me.

"Fine, Gale. But you know your son's just as adorable as Stephen when I tease him." Klamira chuckled as she places her hand over her curvy waist.

I raise my brow in curiousity at the mention of my father's name.

"If you don't me asking who are you really?" I asked and Klamira smiled after looking at my mother before returning her gaze at me.

"I'm Klamira, The Great Oracle, dear Alpha." Klamira proclaimed as she curtsied in front of me. "Please to meet your acquaintance, Alpha Aries Storm."

Zephyr looked at me with shock and confusion in his face. I returned with a shrug before returning to look at Klamira.

"The Great Oracle?" I asked confused. "Isn't she supposed to be very, very old from the tales I heard from..."

"Oh, dear Alpha Aries..." Klamira waived her hand in the air dismissively. "I am. A millennia or so."

My mouth figuratively dropped to the ground. Klamira doesn't look her age. She still looks like in her early 30's.

"Being immortal does have its benefits, honey." Klamira smiled. "I do need to work out and keep on a strict diet to be in this rocking body you see me now." She twirls and struts her body to prove her point.

My mother just shook her head and cleared her throat afterwards making us look at her.

"Klamira's here because I invited her, son." She started. "Knowing Stephen's back. I took the liberty to contact an old friend that might help with your father's sickness."

My expression quickly turned serious as I looked at my mother then at Klamira.

"Gale told me Stephen has gone rogue for some time now and has just returned without success." Klamira started her usual jolly demeanor quickly shifted to something serious. "I suggest we take this inside first before we can proceed further."

I nodded and Zephyr clasped my shoulder and we exchanged looks. He nodded and proceeded to jog towards the house first as mother, Klamira and I followed behind.

Klamira held my mother's hand as we entered the guest room and they sat at the large set while I sat at the chair in front of them.

Zephyr was outside with Canis guarding the entrance as to indicate the privacy of the meeting we are having.

The air was tense and Klamira placed her cup of tea over the saucer after she took a sip from it. She saintly wiped her plump lips with her handkerchief before looking at me.

"I know you have questions, young Alpha." Klamira started. "And I'm here to answer them to best of my abilities."

"Why now?" I started as I looked confused at Klamira then at my mother. "Why are you just now coming to help my father? You could've assisted when he was ... Just experiencing the symptoms." I turned to my mother and my voice cracked. "Mom, why now ask for help?"

My mother was about to answer but Klamira interjected immediately.

"It wasn't Gale's fault nor was anybody else's." Klamira spoke and I turned to look at her. "As you know, I'm an Oracle. There are things that I myself are restricted and forbidden to do even I wanted to."

"Son, I did tried to ask Klamira for help when Stephen was showing signs already of going rogue before we got mated to each other." My mother started her tone quite clear she was in distraught but tried her best to be strong in front of me. "But the time wasn't right for her. She has no obligation to help me... I was being selfish or lack the conviction but I tried.... So hard..."

"The time Stephen was becoming a rogue, I wasn't awake per set on that time so Gale has no way of reaching me." Klamira continued. "But she was persistent through the years that I was gone. She constantly sent prayers to my shrine for assistance everyday until today..." I turned to my mother and looked at her apologetically. "So please don't be mad at Gale, Aries. She is a good person and good wife and mother."

"She is..." I croaked as I fight a tear from falling. Kicking myself for being quick to judge. "I'm sorry, mom. I truly am."

My mother smiled and shook her head slowly.

"No need to apologize, son." She lovingly replied. "I'm your mother and I will always know you didn't mean anything bad. You're just upset and that's normal."

I smiled at her and thanked the Goddess for giving me a very wonderful mother.

Klamira cleared her throat and we looked at her attentively this time.

"It's quite rare for Alpha's to go rogue that easily and it's quite impressive as well that your father managed to retain sanity amidst these years after being afflicted by it." Klamira mused. "But I have to see Stephen first to access the situation before I give any final words on the matter."

"But has any rogue has ever been cured?" I asked.

Klamira paused for a moment and shook her head no. I hang my head in despair at the possible outcome either way but Klamira smiled sweetly soon.

"But that does not mean those wolves that went rogue didn't went to live a better life." She stated as I looked at her confused.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean they are still having tendencies but with the support of their friends and families, as well as their mate, they gradually learned to cope with the affliction." Klamira stated. "If I can compare it with any mental disease in the world, as long the person with it is showered with enough support and love, they learned to live their lives as if they are normal. I've seen wolves that went on and got the happy ending they deserve. Through thick and thin, the hardship they have gone through, the love they received was enough to push them to remain sane."

I nodded as I contemplate my father's predicament and the support and love we will give him once he returns. I know he is already patched up with his mate in Lance. And I saw how genuinely Blake's father cared for mine. I see what Klamira is pointing out here.

"Thanks for that insight Klamira. I really appreciated that." I thanked her honestly. "I'm sorry as well for being a douche back there. I apologize for my ill manners."

"I don't mind." Klamira chuckles brushing my concerns away. "I'm a handful sometimes and hard to handle."

I chuckled at her words as my mother started to take a sip from her cup when she paused to look at my direction.

"Oh, Aries. Did Stephen told you when he and Lance are coming back here?"

Klamira visibly shrieked in excitement before calming herself down.

We turned to look at her and she fanned herself with her left hand.

"What?! Can't a girl be excited at the news of two hot man?" Klamira purred as she leaned over the seat and dreamily swooned. "Lance Fang... That sexy beast. One of the best pairs I've ever seen in a millennia. Sorry , Gale."

My mother chuckled.

"None taken, Klamira. If I could only see, I guess I would have gone fangirling about those two as well." My mother laughs as Klamira laughed with her.

"So, Aries, when is the couple coming, so I can meet them already?" Klamira asked.

"Er... I have to ask them first." I replied. "They are taking their time on catching up with each other after all these years."

"I see." Klamira pouts. "But i ts for the best. Rebuilding a mate's bond is important to recovery. They need all the loving they need after being away for these long."

I couldn't agree more and it seems mother agrees as well as she continued to talk to Klamira with purpose.

My thoughts drift back to the time Klamira would see my father. And I hoped against hope that it would be a good meeting.

Until then, I could enjoy the fact that father is back and we're trying to patch things up once again. A happy family.
