Night Shift

Walking for another few minutes or so after leaving the train station, Lei Zhen finally arrived at the Magnolia Convenience Store at Saint Mars Avenue.

The moment the electronic sliding door opened, Lei Zhen was caught off-guard by his fellow coworker, Tie Longkun.

"Lei Zhen, you are finally here at last." Tie Longkun's eyes were watery as he tried to hug Lei Zhen.

Luckily though, Lei Zhen managed to dodge to the side to avoid physical contact.

Tie Longkun didn't expect him to dodge and nearly bang himself in the head at the wall.

He held an aggrieved expression as he cursed, "If you hadn't come sooner, then I might really commit seppuku."

Lei Zhen remained expressionless as he pointed at the clock that was above the counter desk. "I'm on time and not late at all. What are you blabbering about?"

Turning his head around, Tie Longkun rubbed his eyes a few times to check the time. Sure enough, Lei Zhen was right on time, not late and not early.
