Her Double Trouble

Emma frowned. She couldn't understand what was happening. 


Wasn't Daniel and Katherine supposed to come together? Didn't he ask her to accompany him? 


She had heard Katherine talking to her friends about attending today's event with him. 


Even when she confronted Daniel about it in his office, he did not deny it. 


Then what happened? Did he turn her down at the last moment? Or was he not attending the event? 


Emma shrugged off the last assumption. This gala was an event hosted by the Andersons. There was no way Daniel would miss it. 


As she was busy trying to figure out what must have happened, Daniel walked through the door. There was no one with him. He was all by himself. 


Emma looked at him, and their eyes met, but Daniel quickly looked away and started talking to a man who approached him. 


She looked at Katherine, who was looking at Daniel. Emma couldn't help but scoff. This woman was clearly head over heels for him and didn't even try to hide her infatuation.
