"If given a chance, who would you rather, Daniel or me?" Owen asked. 

"Now that's a tough one." Chugging down the leftover champagne directly from the bottle, she said, "I need some time to think."

Her Double Trouble

"Emma, wake up." Daniel shook her shoulder. 


He sighed and helplessly shook his head. When he entered the car after talking to Katherine, Emma was already fast asleep. 


At first he thought she was just pretending to be asleep but later when he heard her soft snores, he couldn't help but smile. 


She looked so tiny wrapped around his oversized coat. Like a tiny little kitten. 


He had no plans for waking her up but when she kept stirring and frowning, he assumed she was feeling uncomfortable. He was also worried her neck would hurt the next morning given her sleeping posture. 


"We have reached your place, you can sleep for more than two minutes on your bed." He gently caressed her hair. 


When she opened her eyes, Daniel got down from the car and jogged to the other side to help Emma get down. 


He opened the door and unbuckled her seat belt. "Come on now, let's go upstairs." 


"Two minutes.."
