"If given a chance, who would you rather, Daniel or me?" Owen asked. 

"Now that's a tough one." Chugging down the leftover champagne directly from the bottle, she said, "I need some time to think."

Her Double Trouble

After accompanying Anna for a while, Emma and Daniel left. Though Emma was reluctant to leave her at the beginning, she eventually did when Brian assured her that he would take good care of her. 


She looked at Daniel who had been unusually quiet since they left the hospital. “Is everything okay?” When he only nodded in response, she asked again, “Is something bothering you?” 


"It's nothing." He lied to her again but he had no choice. There was no way he could tell Emma what Anna had told him in her absence. 


Though she wasn't satisfied with his answer, she didn't question him any further. 


Emma closed her eyes and sighed. She was still trying to process everything that had happened to Anna. But despite everything, she was glad Anna was okay. 


"Still worried about Anna?" She nodded. "Don't worry, everything is okay now." Daniel grabbed her hand and squeezed it lightly.
