When Megan broke the cookies evenly, she had a big grin on her face. She even compared them to what Adrian had done before. After all, the cookie was hard and crumbly. The eldest ended up breaking the cookie in uneven sizes.

That was also why Darius laughed and praised Megan as they both nibbled at their cookies.

The next thing Darius knew was that Dwight had become paler than he already was. It seemed that Nicholai had said something when Darius was talking to Megan. He heard their voices, but he couldn't catch what they were saying.

In the end, they only let Dwight excuse himself and come to the familiar company of the other leaders. Even Megan was being introduced to them as Nicholai's niece, causing their faces to churn.
