Those words… Enzo could hear Nikita saying those words to him as well. However, as he was not talking to the wife who only knew him as her mate her whole life, the prince didn't say anything more. He only bowed and left just the same. Whether it was said to support his misadventure or to remind him of being trapped in the paw of the Crown, Enzo didn't know.

However, it did succeed in its purpose of solidifying his decision about the matter. He didn't even get a chance to consider it for so long. Enzo had so many responsibilities as the successor, and no one was going to do them if not him. He chose to remain as the prince—Nikita's mate.
