Running water

What the hell was I thinking bringing him back to my house?

I watch the sleepy hobo on my couch cautiously.

But what could I have done? What if he was truly Ian? Then I would have placed him in jeopardy by taking him to a normal hospital.

But I stare and stare at the man in my couch there is no way he is Ian. I reach out to push the grimy hair out his face but I hold back.

Shaking my head. I step away as I slap my hands to my sides

I am going to regret this. I just know.

Not wanting to stress my head even further. I adjust the tray of food I had placed by him earlier.

Of course I should have put out some fruit juice too. So I head to my fridge and get some out. Placing it on the tray with an extra cup. I finally stop fussing and head into my room.

Shedding off my clothes like they were made of ice. I test the water in the tub, the temperature is just right. Dipping in one foot at time, I gradually seat down with a sigh. Leaning my head back at the head of my tub I sigh even deeper.

Thank God for financial freedom. I remember when I was younger and things weren't so good for me and Mom. We lived in an apartment with a very tiny bathroom, with no water heater and asides the toilet no other thing worked. The shower, the tap. We had to fetch water from the kitchen.

Taking my bath then was not an affair I liked. I often bathed only once a day except on days I couldn't help it.

Now, I have hot water running in my bathroom, all valves working and.. space, lots of it.

I let the water coax me to light doze before I wake up to the water cooling. I step out unplug the drain and shower.

I am glad Aurora had to go back urgently. I won't have known how to start explaining to her.

Pushing aside some clothes off my bed, I let them land on the floor but I am too tired to care.

Climbing into my bed. I snuggle under the duvet and I am out like a light.
