Flushed red with anger, King Pierre shouted at the three of them, "I am telling you, your majesty. I can be a really good ally if you give me what I want!"
Bree paused at the threshold of the hall and turned around to look at the man who was about to burst into flames. She smiled at him before stating, "And I am a very bad enemy if you were to betray me, my lord. So I will suggest that you don't do something that you should not be doing."
With that, the three of them stepped out of the hall and headed out of the palace. Once they arrived at the carriage, they climbed up the small stairs and sat on the plush seats.
Sitting opposite the two men, Bree asked, "You did not see that coming?"
"No," Cian rubbed his nape and shook his head.
"Are you sure?" Yakov asked with a hint of suspicion in his eyes. "Maybe you hinted that you will be claiming or mating with her when you were talking to that woman while turning up your charm."
