The grandmaster of heaven sword is a legendary swordman with vast intelligence who many city lords wished to befriend; his memories and knowledge of alchemy are otherworldly, and it was rumored that he could cultivate even while walking or doing anything. Anyone who has ever lived has had access to his sword knowledge.
Fortunately, the Patriarchs of Unlimited Yuan and Divine Alchemist Sects were fortunate to have him train their first sons Zhou Yun and Shen Xia to be good martial artists and to foresee their future as sect Patriarchs.
After witnessing the thrilling power that no one in this world had ever comprehended, Patriarch Zhou Yun was astounded to discover that a servant had learned and used them efficiently, even killing someone stronger with it.
After discovering this, Patriarch Zhou Yun stood up and walked to the giant phoenix, where everyone had already entered its back. They were waiting for him to scale it.
"You can go; I'll be there in an hour."
With that, the thousand-year-old phoenix flapped its massive wings and flew into the air, faster than an airplane.
Patriarch Zhou Yun turned to face a tree in the garden after they had left.
"How long are you going to stay in there?"
He stated emotionlessly.
The tree shook and a few leaves fell to the ground as a person jumped from it, dressed in a black daoist robe and wearing a nose mask.
"I never thought I'd see you again after you sent me to my greatness, Zhou Yun."
Patriarch Zhou Yun recognizes the voice, but the tone was so sarcastic that he couldn't stand it.
"What is your name?"
He inquired because he couldn't see the person's true identity because he was wearing a mask and his hair also fell in place to conceal his identity from others.
"A long time ago, a genius was discovered in a small clan; he was adopted by a powerful and cunning individual who trained him; later, he sent that individual in search of another, and the individual never returned."
The masked man spoke up.
"You tell stories, huh? But, unfortunately, this old man here does not understand your stories. I need a very good explanation as to why you've been sitting in this tree all this time, watching everything without acting."
"Of course, you're aware that I have no relationship with this family and thus have no reason to assist; however, I'm here to warn you. That martial art isn't really yours, is it? ...oh, I can tell by your expression that it doesn't belong to you, so hand that young man over to me; he's more useful to me than he is to you. Because of him, I almost lost my clan."
"Shun Taiyi?"
Patriarch Zhou Yun rummaged through his memories, recalling giving orders to one of his subordinates to go find the same person they had just apprehended.
"Now you know who I am. I thought you said you didn't get my stories."
"You are a low-level martial Sovereign. What is going on?"
Zhou Yun was stunned; why the f*ck is everyone's cultivation suddenly increasing? He was proud of his own development, but after witnessing the true cultivation of many people he thought were weak, he learned never to underestimate anyone again.
"You're surprised, aren't you? Anyway, that's none of my business; I'm here to persuade you to let MoShen go, or else the world will learn about your daughter's evil deed and what truly happened to your sect."
Shun Taiyi took off his mask and said.
"Are you now threatening me? Don't forget that I once helped your clan, even taking you in as a disciple and giving you a good job in my sect."
Shun Taiyi scoffed, a sect's chief security and another sect's personal assistant, who would be fooled to call a menial security job a thing in comparison to an assistant Patriarch.
"You may have trained me and assisted my clan, but you are no longer useful to me. Everything changed when you ordered me to leave your sect in search of MoShen."
Shun Taiyi and Zhou Yun argued for about a minute, but Shun Taiyi made no mention of his membership in the Unlimited Yuan sect.
Before Shun Taiyi left, he threw something that looked like an explosive on the floor, and he had already vanished before the colored smoke cleared.
Patriarch Zhou Yun then returned to himself, contemplating which path to take.
As he walked in, he went straight to where MoShen was chained. The chain is a treasure that saps a person's strength gradually as they are tied to it.
- 0.5 Strength
- 0.7 strength
-0.09 strength
-0.57 strength
MoShen saw these notifications for the first time; the only thing he had seen before was health depletion, not strength depletion; thus, this became a mystery that needed to be solved quickly before he became completely powerless.
However, he soon noticed Zhou Yun approaching him, an angry expression on his face, as if he had finally decided to let go of all disadvantages and is ready to kill him.
"You'd better hand over the book right now."
"As you are aware, I do not have them with me."
"How do I find it?"
"It's with MoShen."
"What, are you kidding me? What happened to it?"
"Kill me if you don't want to believe me."
"You mean kill you. I won't; instead, I'll torture you until you beg for death. This chain is part of the legendary strength draining chain. It will take exactly 7 days for your current cultivation to completely drain your strength. Then even a small ordinary grade knife will kill you."
MoShen was already aware that it would take a week for his strength to be completely absorbed by the chain, but he was unfazed. He's just waiting for his room to be unwatched before summoning his clones to free him from the chains.
With that, Zhou Yun exited the room, leaving the two guards to keep an eye out for any suspicious movement from MoShen.
