THE SUN ALSO SETS

In the land of Überwalt, every man dreams of entering Warendar. But this story isn't about that group of people, this story is about a group that couldn't enter, not even under any condition.

There is always such a group, there is nothing strange about that. Terrible souls that are doomed to roam the world without hope.

But this group is different. It all started that summer's day three thousand years ago.

The group at that moment knew what was about to happen to them. So, they searched for a way to change that. To their terror there was none. What else could they do, only wait and despair.

They were a different lot.

"I won't despair," said the oldest brother In the group. "There is always something that can be done. "

"Maybe," said the middle brother.

"I don't know, brothers," said the youngest in the group.

"I'm in this too" said the sister from the bush. "All of us are in this."

"That we are," the oldest replied.

"What can we do?," asked the middle.

"Find a way out. "

"It's not that easy."

"It is."

"How?!"

"You heard about the witches."

"Don't tell me, you're planning on them?"

"Yes!"

"What good can they do in our situation?," asked the youngest.

"He plans to turn us into vampires," the sister understand more than the others.

"You know what happens when a witch turns a man into a vampire."

"There is going back, there is no cure."

"Life never ending."

"What's wrong about that?," the eldest asked.

"It's a long shot," the middle replied.

"Is there any other way from this hell?"

''No…"

"Then, we do this…all agree?"

"Yes," they replied. "There is no other option. All for one, and one for all."

There was no turning back now. There was no other option.

" Yes," the eldest stood up. " The witches live on the other side of the forest."

"We are truly leaving, everything behind?" The youngest one was at a stand still.

"Yes," the sister pulled him towards her. "Yes, we are."

"It's a long road to them."

"It is. "

Silence was around them. Quiet, mesmerizing, terrible, addicted, but above else unknown. Their goal was set. The forest was a mysterious place even during the day, let alone at night. What could they do? Warendar was closed to them forever, the people around them – the people they knew – all were dead from an illness that came out – of – nowhere. They were the only one to survive. There is nothing else to be said, there is no use trying. The only thing that is important is they went.

Small patches of moon light appeared through the oak crowns. Branches like figures that danced, smaller ones like bony fingers. The group continued onward. Tree by tree, bush by bush, they were nearer to their goal. Their minds are clear.

In the middle of the forest, appeared, on one of the many hills, a house made from logs.

The doors were wide opened. From the house spread a smell of warmth and something cooking in the cauldron. They were sure of that.

The witches appeared from the house. Tall, beautiful, stoic, silent, judging – they were all of this and a lot more.

The eldest on both sides appeared first, followed by the rest in order of age, the sister remained silent and alone, until-she too came. Everyone knew what is to be done.

The ritual started the witches summoned their black magic, the group stood in the centre. Darkness was everywhere around them.

Everyone of them could feel that their bodies were changing. Their eyesight drastically increased, their strength was like never before. All of this was only the beginning. Eyes changed color. Fangs grew longer. The hunger was stronger than ever. Blood! They need blood!! They must have blood!!!

The witches knew that will happen. This always happens. They have prepared everything. Blood! Blood! That was only thing that drummed in their heads. Blood!!!

The hunger was the only thing.

One of the witches moved across, entered the house and took her time. She appeared from house, in her arm a chain shinned in the diluted light. On the other end of the chain a group of men lingered. They knew what was about the happen. The group of newborn vampires waited.

They lunged at them. Fangs pierce flesh.

Near by a red-rose bloomed. The ground around them reddened, eagerly drinking the blood.
