VII

"Someone has entered? Interesting," the vampire looked down.

The general slowly walked.

Above the general's head, the vampire hung completely transformed. The general draws his sword prominently and swiftly moves it aside, escorting the downing vampire. The first set of claws managed to miss but the second set slashes him on the shoulder. The claws pierce the armor and the thick doublet with ease just cuts the first layer of skin.

The vampire saw his opponent bleed, he moves forward. The general switches the sword from right to left, cuts the vampire from the reins to the white throat. The body seemed sluggish as it made contact with the marble pavement; a mixture of black and normal blood gushes from him, the pond underneath him grew larger and larger with every passing moment.

"Still ... you came for her ..."

"Yes. Release her."

"She's not here ..."

"Where is it, tell me?"

"At their place..."

The humanoid bat, who until recently struggled to accept what had happened, regained the former shape. The body curved once more in mortal agony, then fell silent and drove down the wall.

It was over, the renegade was dead.
