Diary Fragment

I'm a complete novice when it comes to this. It's more than strange for me to write a journal, even stranger for me to show it anyone even you, dear reader. There is something you need to know. You are the first person that ever saw this let alone read my diary. The things that you will see will change everything that you knew about us-vampires. We aren't the type that the sun destroys or dead souls returned to hunt the living. There are two ways to become us:

The first to be born like us- read- like me-a highborn. Birth is the only way to be a true blood.

The second the way- you are familiar with transformed- turned by a higher or a lesser vampire.

That's the only natural way to be a vampire.

Luck was on my side and I was born as a highborn- true blood- with the power to control lesser vampires.

That part will be later explained in detail.

A bit of backstory, I think is needed, so let's start, dear readers I was born a noble-the word we use for a highborn- a boyar- the word that's used for a nobleman-at least in my country.

Naturally, my parents are nobles too and the rest is same about them. My father is a strong man, cold, reserved, calculated. My mother is a different person than father and me. I'm somewhere in the middle. The both of them are tall and I'm even taller.

My features are a mix of both of them.A strong face, a straight nose, deep blue eyes, a mane of copper hair circles my perfect face. The beard that grows on my face is neatly trimmed.

Unlike my father, I can't control my urges of both kind. My thirst for blood is a constant thing of talk at our court, I don't try to hide it, it's a thing known.

The other urge is a thing that the court ladies can testify to that, but that's a story for another time. The main point of this part of the story, which I plan to tell, is the on the other side of the specter- in other words- human relationships. I'm the type of man that hides nothing. To be bold, I had women and women, after a few hundred of them I lost count. I tried to remember them all. Mostly I succeeded. In here I will write about a few of them. There are vampires, like me, that enjoy human women. It's a common thing to do at our court, I can't say for sure about other courts.

Something never change. Somethings are too good to change. This part of court life will change, One thing is sure, I will never change it.
