The mission starts.

Alan feels weak and loses consciousness seconds later.

Bornefly, once nothing more than a simple, quiet town, is now a mere memory of better times.

Silence had taken the place of the sound of playing children, talking neighbors, and the sounds of a working community.

The silence was deafening.

Nothing's eerier than an abandoned hospital, and this one was no different.

Empty halls and empty rooms where lives were once saved to the best of the staff's abilities only further added to the saddening atmosphere of this town.

Were it not for the animals that had made their home in many of the buildings.

This town would've surely been a far more unsettling sight.

But even when all the buildings were finally taken by nature.

There was at least the knowledge that the animals wouldn't have to leave and could continue their lives in peace.

Alan opens his eyes in a warehouse-like place.

He finds that he is given the same sword that he used in the first mission. All of his other clothes are plain black.

"It is cold!"

Alan feels the wind and pure coldness the second that he opens his eyes.

Without having time to look around too much, he starts to move. Leaving the warehouse

"Wow, who knows what happened here?"

As he leaves the warehouse, he can see the city from the outside.

The warehouse he is in and the city have some distance.

The warehouse is built on high ground, giving Alan a good view. of everything

The buildings are on fire, and there is a foul odor all around because they are half intact and half wreckage. If not for the cold temperature, the smell would be unbearable.

"I need to go on and find a place to wear some winter clothes." "Before I freeze to death."

Alan stops spending time looking around and starts moving.

He is running to generate some heat and not to feel cold.

There is a highway that goes right into the city.

He believes it was the best way, as using the forest would be dangerous and he could be ambushed.

The time passes slowly, and Alan takes a deep breath as he enters the city.

He looks at some intact house buildings and then chooses to enter one of the simple houses that are close to him.

He brandishes his sword against any dangers as soon as he enters the house.

The house was simple, and almost all the furniture that he can see is dirty and broken.

He slowly walks inside, and he feels something as he hears it.

"Uggghrrr"

As he hears the sound, a human figure shows itself.

However, the human figure's right and left eyes are not hanging from his eyehole.

Alan feels strange but not scared thanks to the executioner's mind and uses all of his strength to swing his sword up and down to the zombie's head.

"Plucks"

The sword enters the head of the creature and breaks its skull. Alan takes his sword back as the zombie drops to the ground.

"Against one of them, two of them, or even three of four of them, I have no problem. But things would get worse if I was cornered by more than ten of them."
