Wasn't She Doing Too Much?!

PangFua and Niu were instructed to wash the bowl and pour in some water and mirin.

After she added the flour, she whisked it with the water and turned it to a thick mixture.

"Put this in the refrigerator." She handed the bowl to PangFua and she unhesitatingly put it away.

The meal was easy to make but it took some time so she gave each of them a task to do while they waited for the barter to smoothen under colder environment(refrigerator).

PangFua had to cut the cabbage and scallion into thin slices while Niu grinded the katsuobushi in a mortar with a small pestle.

Jiang Meiying prepared the noodles herself, adding enough okonomi sauce.

By the time the batter was pulled out for use, it had become smoother and easier to flatten in the griddle, along with the sliced beef pork.

After an hour and several minutes, she had arranged the sumptuous meal on a dish. The noodles was at the base and towering over the pile of noodles, shaped round, was the Okonomiyaki (made from batter). Piled on the fried batter was the fried egg and the toppings.

The two maids almost salivated just watching the food steam.

"Young Miss where did you learn to cook like this!"

"Young Miss, you have such gifted hands!"

"Young Miss, have you thought about opening your own food stall. Business will be booming, Young Miss!!!"

Jiang Meiying's ears perked up at the last thing they said, and it wasn't a bad idea at all. She would look into that but after she was done with her exams.

The meal she had made was enough to feed the entire family and the maids but she put out her husband's food and the maids' meal, along with the security man's share that was in charge of monitoring the in and out movements of the Jiangs' household.

"It will be nice to hear a recommendation from Mrs. Zhang I hear she was a food critic before she settled into business. She had such a high taste when it came to cuisines!" PangFua blurted when the two had had a taste of her food and their eyes had rolled in their sockets in pleasure.

If it was anything Jiang Meiying appreciated, it was getting compliments for her cooking, but the small smile on her face disappeared when she heard the familiar name that left a bad taste at the tip of her tongue.

"Is she coming here?"

"Mm. The first Young Master of the Zhang family as well. They're all coming for a family dinner tonight." Niu said.

"Hmm." Jiang Meiying uttered, a cold look in her eyes. She wanted to be interested, but she just shrugged nonchalantly and felt it didn't matter If he was coming or not.

"Refrigerate the rest of the food." She ordered the two.

"Eh? Young Miss? Aren't you willing to share such a wonderful meal with the family? You might get a recommendation!"

"Do as I say and make anything else for them." Jiang Meiying coldly said and they shuddered.

Young Miss was too scary!

The plate of food in her hands, she placed the necessary cultleries on the tray and headed upstairs.

The maids quickly packed the rest of the food into the refrigerator and proceeded to share the rest among themselves and the others.

The first Limousine to drive in was the private one that usually picked Jiang Ming from school.

She alighted after a while, bearing several shopping bags and a smug look on her face.

Jiang Meiying who had been studying on her bed, retreated her glance from the window with an unfathomable look in her eyes and continued studying, half glancing at Zhang Hien who was meekly eating while reading. She smiled a bit and focused her gaze on her book again.

A BMW drove in after a while, and a driver helped Jiang Chu out the car by opening the door to let her out.

Not too long, another limousine belonging to Jiang Tai for his personal use, drove into the widespan compound, parking at a secluded spot in the garage.

Soon the living room turned a bit noisy after the three must have freshened up and had come downstairs for dinner together.

They didn't care If the two upstairs were dead or alive, and didn't bother asking about them from anyone.

They were only looking forward to their guests tonight.

A slick black car rode into the compound after several minutes and all three, lavishly dressed in fine clothes went out to welcome them in, only to see Zhang Wei approaching them alone.

Jiang Tai shook his hands, Jiang Chu welcomed him in with a small hug while Jiang Ming practically threw herself at him, excited to see him yet a bit shy when she had to full glance up at his handsome face

How lucky she was to be engaged to such a handsome man!

"My mother conveys her most sincere apologies for her absence. She's very sick and couldn't make it." Zhang Wei lied, trying to sound as genuinely upset as possible.

Of course, like he predicted, they were quick enough to believe him and warmly let him in, only after inquiring about her health progression.

He played the role of a caring brother and asked about Zhang Hien.

"He would be joining us for dinner. You'll get to catch up on lost times." Jiang Tao said to the surprise of his family as they all sat down to dinner.

He would be joining them for dinner? But he had only enquired about him and wasn't in the least interested to see his face!

Just as the maids rounded the table, placing the dinner at designated areas on the table, Jiang Tao beckoned to one of them.

"Go upstairs and call down my daughter and son-in-law down at once!"

Jiang Ming and Jiang Chu concluded that the man had gone crazy.

After all, this was the first time he had referred to Zhang Hien as his son-in-law!

The dinning room was quiet for a while until the maid finally got down and everyone looked up at her.

She looked flushed and began stuttering.

"What happened?" Jiang Tao demanded, curiosity and irritation laced in his tone.

"Young Miss has refused to come down to dinner. She demands for a sum of 20 dollars before she does! She says her prescence is quite precious and her time shouldn't be wasted for no reason."

Zhang Wei suddenly bent over his plate, coughing after choking on his food abruptly from what he just heard. This was new to him!

Apparently, the others didn't react so much to the maid's words and weren't even surprised hearing Jiang Meiying's demands.

But wasn't she doing too much?!
