You Only Have One Month Left

Zhang Youwei stood there stunned for a few seconds, and then he frowned slightly. He felt that he was being pranked.

Three hundred million yuan for a book? And what's more, it was a book that could not be opened. This was not funny!

However, Zhang Youwei soon realized that he was wrong. Luo Xiu was not joking with him. This book was indeed selling for 300 million.

Zhang Youwei came to this conclusion because of Luo Xiu's reaction.

After stating the price, Luo Xiu simply glanced at him and continued to read the book with his head down. He had no intention of observing Zhang Youwei at all.

As everyone knew, when a person played a prank on someone, he would definitely observe the other party's reaction. If he did not do so, then he was definitely not joking.

Zhang Youwei took a deep breath and did not speak. Instead, he sized up the young shop owner.

He wanted to see what kind of person would dare to offer such a price for a useless book. To be precise, he wanted to know what kind of person would dare to cheat and extort openly.

However, when he took a look, Zhang Youwei realized that he couldn't take his eyes off the young shop owner. This man's vibes were too extraordinary.

For a moment, Zhang Youwei couldn't think of any other adjectives.

It was extraordinary indeed!

He was dressed in a long black robe and wore thin-rimmed round-framed glasses. Under his meticulously combed black hair were exquisite features that were calm to the point of indifference.

Apart from the pair of glasses, there were no other accessories on his body.

The word 'clean' could not be used to describe him. 'Immaculate' would be more appropriate.

At this moment, Zhang Youwei felt a little enlightened. He subconsciously felt that this young shop owner was no ordinary man.

Zhang Youwei could not help but look down at the books in his hand. Stacked under [The Little Prince] was the [Prajna Divine Technique].

He had just asked, "How much are these two books altogether?" He did not specify which two books they were.

How did this young shop owner know?

Zhang Youwei started to look around. He could not find any cameras in the shop, and there was no monitor at the counter.

Obviously, the shop owner did not see which two books he took through the surveillance cameras.

In that case, it all seemed a little magical.

The books that could not be opened even with all his might, the outrageous price, and the young shop owner who accurately announced the titles of the books without looking and who had an extraordinary temperament.

Zhang Youwei felt that this bookstore was a little strange.

If it were before, he would not think too much about it. He would only think that this shop owner was playing tricks and leave immediately.

He would rather take a long detour and go to a bookstore farther away to buy books for his daughter. He would not want to make a deal with a suspicious man, even if it was just a book.

However, now Zhang Youwei was a little unwilling to leave because he was now facing a problem that science could not solve.

A terminal illness!

Just as Dr. Zhou said in the hospital, perhaps only gods could save him now, even though that was not exactly a piece of advice.

However, Zhang Youwei saw something that could not be explained here. This triggered Zhang Youwei's desire to survive from deep in his heart.

He wanted to give it a try.

"Boss, how can this book be sold for 300 million? Let's not talk about whether the content in this book is worth this price. Since it can't be opened at all, no matter how valuable the content is, it becomes worthless."

It had been a long time since Zhang Youwei spoke so much in one breath. He was used to listening to others talk a lot while he only gave short replies.

He didn't know why he was like this. He just wanted to give it a try. He wanted to see if this shop owner really had some secrets.

In his view, he was already being humble and courteous by even saying so much.

However, Luo Xiu acted as if he did not hear anything. He just reached out and flipped through a page of the book he was reading.

Then, he answered Zhang Youwei's words:

"This book is worth 300 million. If you can't open it, it's your problem, not the book's problem."

To Luo Xiu, the importance of flipping through the book was apparently more important than this single transaction of 300 million. When Zhang Youwei saw Luo Xiu's attitude, he couldn't help but feel a trace of anger in his heart.

Zhang Youwei had seen many people in his life who were arrogant and deliberately mystifying, but this was the first time he had seen someone who was arrogant and mystifying to this extent. It was simply too much!

Anyway, Zhang Youwei did not have much hope for this bookstore. Even he felt that it was stupid and ridiculous to put his hope of curing a terminal illness in a bookstore.

So, he put down the two books in his hands and wanted to leave.

He was going to do what he would have done usually – he wanted to buy books in another bookstore.

Of course, he wasn't going to buy any [Prajna Divine Technique]. He was just going to buy [The Little Prince] for his daughter.

Just as Zhang Youwei turned around, Luo Xiu spoke again.

"One month."

Zhang Youwei stopped in his tracks and turned his head. His eyes were half-filled with doubt and half-filled with anger as he looked at Luo Xiu, "What are you talking about?"

The young man did not look at him either. He continued to read the book in his hand and casually said, "You only have one month left to live."

Just as Zhang Youwei was bewildered, Luo Xiu finally closed the book. He let out a sigh and took off his glasses.

The indifferent gaze hidden behind the spectacles finally revealed itself, and he exchanged a glance with Zhang Youwei.

His speech was slow, and there wasn't the slightest fluctuation in his tone. It sounded like he was talking about something as natural as eating and drinking.

However, to Zhang Youwei's ears, it was incredibly shocking.

This store manager only looked at him two or three times from beginning to end, and he could tell he was dying.

"Do you know me?"

"No."

"Do you know Dr. Zhou then?"

"No."

After answering the second sentence, Luo Xiu took out another book from the drawer and began to read it.

It was as if nothing had happened just now.

Looking at the mysterious young store manager in front of him, Zhang Youwei's lips trembled slightly, and he quickly walked back to the counter.

"Sir… Can my life still be saved?"

He didn't know why he would ask such a question to a bookstore owner, but he did.

This was because the temperament that Luo Xiu displayed from the beginning was very different from that of an ordinary person.

He wanted to live!

After asking this question, Zhang Youwei patiently waited for Luo Xiu's gaze to gradually sweep from the top of the page to the bottom.

While turning the page, Luo Xiu finally answered Zhang Youwei's question.

"Yes, it can be saved."
