The Council of Immortals

The old man began chiseling my name amongst the other immortals. Olga's name was a few above my own. He hummed as he tapped the end of the chisel with his hammer. A rhythm that he seemed to be familiar with. It took him about twenty minutes of tapping to carve my name into the marble. Olga smiled at me as he finished.

"Look it's official now! Congratulations." She said hugging me.

I hugged her back out of instinct. She looked up at me and smiled as if she had won something. She grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the car. She pulled out her phone and made a call.

"Yeah, he's on the wall now, gather everyone." She said switching to a serious tone.

She then got into the driver's seat and motioned for me to get in. She took off the moment my door closed.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see." She replied as she sped down the road.
