A Divine Beast's End

The night came quickly, and we all turned in early for the mission at hand. I still didn't need to sleep but I did. For the first time, I dreamed. A nightmare forcing me to relive my worst day. No matter how I tried in the dream I couldn't save my family. I woke up covered in sweat. I got up and walked to the large glass door in my room. I could feel the chill from the winter's night coming off the glass. The night was peaceful, snow was falling, painting everything in its pure white fluff. I sighed and got dressed. I walked out of my room and saw a maid scurry away down the hallway.

"Weird but ok," I muttered as she disappeared.

The house was utterly quiet. I walked down the empty hallway towards the foyer. The hardwood floors are cold on my bare feet. I walked down the stairs and out into the front yard and sat on a large stone bench. The snow fell on me as I tried to clear my head of that nightmare. I noticed a certain move and then return to its place as I looked at it.
