A Dark Cloud

I stayed there on that grassy hill till the sun rose in the sky. My mind stuck on Chiyoko. Why would he approach me in such a manner? Was it a test? I just couldn't place the uneasy feeling that man gave me. I sighed as I stood up with a stretch. I walked down the hill slowly, the sun gleaming off the buildings as I walked past. People went about their day, with no knowledge of the things that lie beneath the surface of their lives. The power that awaits them if they would only reach for it. I smiled at the thought of the whole world is enveloped in the path of cultivation. I walked around the small town for a while, my thoughts driving each step until I reached a dark alleyway with a bar at the end of it. I walked in and sat down at a booth.

"Id sir?" The waitress asked.

I handed her a hundred-dollar bill.

"Scotch on the rocks," I replied without looking at her.
